Bill O'Reilly casually says he would committ cold blooded mass murder
adds it as an afterthought to his interview.

http://thinkprogress.org/2005/08/03/oreilly-execute/

O’Reilly: I Would Execute Everyone At Gitmo
The United States is holding more than 500 foreign detainees at the prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. These men have been deprived of basic legal and civil rights, and reports of abuse, torture and grotesque mistreatment are rampant. Many, if not most, of the detainees have been there nearly four years, yet in all that time, only four have been accused of any crime. And even then, military prosecutors recently charged the military trials against those four have been rigged.

The entire mess is playing into the hands of the terrorists, who now use Guantanamo Bay as a recruiting tool.

So what would Fox’s Bill O’Reilly do to fix the problem? Kill ‘em all:

O’REILLY: I don’t give them any protection. I don’t feel sorry for them. In fact, I probably would have ordered their execution if I had the power. (Listen to O’Reilly here.)

UPDATE: Crooks and Liars has the video.

9. yeah, it sounds like flamebait
I hate to even bring attention to it, but it represents something so heinous it can't be ignored.

Taken literally, and some people do take this kind of idiocy seriously, O'Reilly is advocating something only the worst regimes in the world do.

12. WI_DEM..........

I would not say O'Reilly's ratings have tanked, they dropped from a 3.1 in October of 2004 to 2.0 in June of 2005. I would not call that tanking, he is still the #1 show as far as ratings go.

But Greta is nipping on his heels, she beats him 2 or 3 times a month.

I bet that's on the plate for a number of Gitmo prisoners. We don't know who or how many there are, so the ones most tortured and least culpable will disappear. PR problem all gone.

17. He Should Be Arrested for Statements Like That
You all realise why he doing this, right? The Right Wing is slowly desensitizing American society to this type of hate filled rhetoric.

Have you noticed the type of rhetoric that publicly spews from Ditto-Heads? They wouldn't have dared to say this type of shit 10 years ago publicly. But slowly over time Right Wing media has established itself and has been shaping the public's threshold for hate filled speech by making it the norm.

Right Wing Propaganda is extremely dangerous. It's been used before to do major harm.

23. Sounds like something Saddam use to do.
Execute a whole prison full of people, most of whom were innocent. Ironically enough, they were carried out at Abu Ghraib Prison.

Mr. O'Reilly needs to be pulled from TV. Especially since he can get away with sexual harassment, and all he has to do is pay to keep everything hush. Now, "O'Hypocrite talking about mass execution. He needs his mic turn off for good.

<<snip>>
The reports state that on November 19, Qusay, Saddam's younger son who controls the Special Guard and Special Security, the Special Republican Guard and other organizations attached directly to the presidency, gave written orders for the execution of 1200 detainees in the "heavy sentences" section of Abu Ghraib-detainees whose sentences range between 15 years and the death penalty. The mass executions began on November 20, and continued daily. The bodies of some of the executed were returned to their families, with several showing evidence of torture.

37. Excuse me, but..........
O'Reilly just ain't news. He's just soooooo predictable and not at all clever in his predictability. Name a subject and we all know what his response will be. For openers, it will be putrid in spirit; rude in delivery; and ignorant in content. He's nothing if not a blight on society.

I mean if any of us actually got to know someone like him, it wouldn't take us long to excise him from our bevy of friends and acquaintances. And yet, because this guy has a t.v. program, he's a force to be reckoned with. Did you hear what O'Reilly said on this or on that? Who the hell cares? He's a nobody. What makes him a somebody are the people who actually listen to or read about what he has to say. How many times does one have to be hit over the head to know that avoidance is a good thing? The man's an abomination with no redeeming qualities at all.

I mean his very existence should be declared illegal. A glorified neocon mouthpiece without an ounce of heart or brains or grace.

We need to expunge him--fast! We must do everything possible to ensure that his ratings go down. We must not count ourselves among his viewers. He is a troll! He is low life. He is O'Reilly! :puke:

Like those 2 disturbed boys, Republicans have a fetish for violence and death, hate and want to kill anyone who doesnt look and think exactly like them, and would love to see all life on earth wiped out. Here are some quotes from the diaries of those boys:

"Anything I don't like sucks"
"HATE!!! I'm full of hate and I love it!"
"I am the law. If you don't like it, you die"
"All you (various racial slurs and obscenities) better hide in your homes because I'm coming for EVERYONE now and I will be armed to the (censored) TEETH, and I WILL (censored) KILL EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sounds like something a Bush supporter would say, don't you agree?

I've always thought that his scam was to play to the pretend middle, contrasting himself to his screeching brethren on the radio as mainline while still delivering the same message as they. Outbursts like this are welcome, hopefully alienating those in the mushy middle who were buying into his supposed nonpartisan reasonableness. Even uninformed Americans hypnotized by TV know when the shark is being jumped.
