The "Abuse of Power." Is it just a FU to the rest of America saying "We
have won."

The arrogance and stature of the bush administration reads like an Onion headline. Has America just experienced a "silent coup?"

Has America died?

Is the world about to see the nastiest expansionist move since the Nazis?

God have mercy on us all.

(From an atheist, but I'll take any quarter I can get in this foxhole)

1. FU is the only thing they know how to say
But it's a bluff, and they are about to be called on it.

3. He doesn't care
because right now he doesn't have to. This is a constant repub thing - forget tomorrow, only today matters. Who cares if the ice caps melt, that's tomorrow. My profits come in today. Who cares if it will be worse in Iraq tomorrow, I want to declare we've won the war there today. Hopefully he'll do such a good job at it that the Dems can pick up a Senate majority again. But that happens tomorrow, so he won't be worrying about it today...

5. you forgot yesterday!
The past is past, history doesn't repeat, can't learn a thing from past mistakes. Don't be distracted by the past, today is what matters!
