Paul Hackett's race numbers
Edited on Wed Aug-03-05 10:19 PM by FreedomAngel82
I thought these were great! I got them in an Email from the DCCC. Hackett did very well and it goes to show you that the people are getting tired of rightwing talking point crap.

Here are the numbers:

Adams County
Bush: 64 percent
Kerry: 36 percent
Hackett: 52 percent

Clermont County
Bush: 71 percent
Kerry: 29 percent
Hackett: 42 percent

Brown County
Bush: 64 percent
Kerry: 36 percent
Hackett: 56 percent

Pike County
Bush: 48 percent
Kerry: 48 percent
Hackett: 63 percent

I was very excited about this race and I'm not even from Ohio or live there. This goes to show that we're ready to work and Chairman Dean is the right person for the job! I hope he can stay chairman for a while. :) But those who worked on the Hackett team should be proud!

I apologize if these numbers have been posted before. I haven't seen.

1. Good showing
But in Adams, Claremont, Brown, and Warren County an unknown
black women from Cleveland with no money pulled in more votes
the Kerry as she was running for Ohio Supreme court. Her Republican
counterpart got thousands less then bush. So either
their was fraud in those counties or people got REAL interested in
a the state supreme court race on the democratic side.

e.g. I will vote for a liberal black women for Justice but I will vote
for a very conservative white male for President.

7. How would you know one way or another?
I don't believe the results myself. They are certainly plausible, and might even be true. But Clermont County is where people were caught putting stickers over punch holes for Kerry in Nov. 2004, and Warren County is where there was no oversight whatsoever of the counting process because they put our a fake terror alert. If you believe that similar crap was not pulled against Hackett, I have a bridge to sell you. A full audit might still have resulted in a narrow loss, but I refuse to believe any result that doesn't have one.

We should be actively seeking audits regardless of whether they have an effect on the results, just to discourage known cheaters from doing it again.

5. I can tell you what happened
She was running against a man, many voters had no clue who either one was, and they voted for the woman. The only statewide elected Democrats in Ohio right now are justices. I lived in Ohio for several years and I know how ignorant people are of those races.

3. I don't put much value in comparison to the Nov 2004 election
Ohio was screwed with big time in he presidential race. Can't we make comparisons again the Ohio-02 district only?

4. There was no election.
It was all just an act for those who still believe the façade.

6. The returns posted here are incomplete.
I think that there are eight counties or parts thereof in the 2nd Congressional District. There are only four on this list, but perhaps the four of most interest? . . .

8. There are seven
The OP leaves out Scioto Bush 52, Kerry 48, Hackett 65. He also leaves out the partial counties of Warren and Hamilton for the reasons that Bush's performance there is harder to find as the counties are listed as a whole.

9. Randi Rhodes said today that it was 50/50 until one county 'found' 4000
votes late at night. Was that a diebold county? I have to look into this. If anyone has any information on this ... what's the deal?
