Michael Savage says Bush's 5-week vacation is "obscene"...
I was flipping stations on my way home from work tonight and heard Savage make this statement. I was shocked! He said although Bush was a figurehead, he was still the commander in chief and it's not like everything is going so well in Iraq or with the economy, etc... and that it was obscene to take a 5-week vacation at this time. Coming from any right-winger, even a fake one, makes this newsworthy. But the Democrats can't criticize him because they are on vacation too. But they are not the commander in chief...

4. Michael Savage IS obscene.
Edited on Thu Aug-04-05 12:03 AM by gumby
The Weenie plays both sides in his "psychological nudity" psychotic program.

The Weenie knows he can say anything as long as he pumps the White Supremacist card just enough to keep his racist audience.

edit: The Weenie frequently mouths things against Bunnypants. He knows where to draw the line. He always supports The Leader Principle (which is BushCo.), while sometimes being "critical." The Weenie is a *complete* political phony. All he cares about is maintaining White Male Privilege.

21. Well, you've really gotta listen to him to get the full value
of his insanity. He's mostly about White Male Supremacy and about labeling those against his insanity as traitors (the 'enemy within') or those having a mental disease, and therefore, they should be sent to camps. Really!

He constantly espouses that fellow citizens who he disagrees with should be sent to camps. See? Fascism is out in the open now and actually being openly advocated by an insaniac.

Even though that crap may be his 'radio personality,' it is still destructive to Democracy and to America. I recommend the Salon article linked below.

He's got a site http://www.homestead.com/prosites-prs/index.html

Here's an old, but informative and lively article from Salon

6. Maybe the reason he's the only right-wing radio host listed by Bernie
Goldberg in his "100 People Who Are Screwing Up America" is that Savage occasionally bashes Bush.

It doesn't make Savage decent or one of us.

9. Eh this is the same guy who says Bush is too liberal for him
Micheal Savage is neither a con or a liberal; he is a man who makes money outta suckers ANY suckers who bother to pay attention to the bullshit he has to say. Hypocritically of course I have some to this conclusion after listening to him off and on for entertainment value for a few years now. Talk about a flip flopper just before Iraq was invaded he labled Saddam in likeness with the Babylonian King and how it was so wonderful Iraq is free and the "red diaper doper babies" have been proven wrong and NOW he's starting to say Iraq was a mistake he never really supported it ect and so on...

He's just a loudmouthed little punk who has never bothered to grow up nothing more.

spaghetti and how dumb pasta is

before he read it he warned that liberals would just freak out about it

essentially anything he dislikes or is different from his ideal world of the 50s is the result of liberal traitors, 'red doper diaper babies', all the 'Americans' who follow the Eurotrash (ie, as far as I can tell, all European ideas are trash according to him_

12. Savage hates Bush.
Savage is a nutbag of the first order. That said, Savage is correct. It's completely obscene. Does Bush have nothing better to do? There has to be something he can be working on.

16. You guys are missing a very important point...
I try to look at the positive side of things. Every moment Congress and Bush spend away from Washington is one more moment they aren't passing laws/policies that screw things up even more. Let's face it, even when Bush IS in DC he isn't exactly working... unless there's rich men involved.
"What was the name of that memo again Condi?"

And nobody was in Washington? He doesn't have to be in Washington to do damage.

20. Good point
But Bolton hasn't been in long enough yet to be a proven quantity. Maybe the rest of the UN will just ignore him. Wishful thinking, I know.

22. Hypocrisy 101: Because "we're at war",
1. * had to make a recess appointment of John Bolton to the U.N. because of the illusion of urgency, yet

2. * takes a five-week vacation during the same exigent period of time. I could understand a week-end or a day off here and there, but c'mon. Either it's a war and an emergency or it isn't. Be consistent Shrub.
