3 from 48th killed in Iraq-reported in Atlanta Journal-Constitution |
|
Three more soldiers killed from 48th Brigade out of GA. That makes 11 in the past five days. This war is finally hitting home for many. Cell phones and internet cafe's have been confiscated and closed in order to keep soldiers from alerting families of the dead before they can be notified by the dod.
Happy vacation Mr. President...:sarcasm:

1. figures, they're far more concerned about the coverup than the people |
|
Kind of reminds me of the cellphone camera leaks. The answer: "We're going to keep torturing people, and are now confiscating cellphones."

I keep hearing that the 14 plus the six from the day before were from Ohio. There were five killed just before that, plus these three. Were they all from GA, plus three more? Is that a total of 31 in five days?

4. sorry for the confusion and not providing the link-still learning how |
|
to do this DU thing. That is 11 killed in the 48th brigade over the past five days. There have definitely been in excess of thirty servicemen killed in totality over this past week. I don't think they were all from GA. However, the 48th is based in GA.
Yet General Casey (I think that's his name) claims that the insurgency is acting out because of the american offensive and their feelings of not being able to be as effective. The spin is dizzying, really...

He just sent our kids there to die and told Haliburton to let him know when it is profitable for them to come home. He's one cold hearted rich little boy bastard.

10. There were a lot of terror warnings over that summer, too |
|
People have forgotten them, but we pulled our ships out of all Middle East ports one time, and there was a story about W being targetted in Italy by Al-Queda. And several other warnings. And Bush's numbers were very low, then, too, with several legal cases pending.
Lots of similarities.
