Violent Week Leaves At Least 27 U.S. Troops Dead

It has been a deadly week in Iraq for U.S. forces. At least 27 members of the U.S. military have died in Iraq since Monday.

The military said Iraqi insurgents have stepped up their resistance in western Iraq, as U.S. forces have been launching assaults and limiting their movement. A top commander said that's why the situation is getting more dangerous.
