Martha Stewart's home confinement extended

Lifestyle trendsetter Martha Stewart will spend three extra weeks under house arrest following reports that she violated terms of her home confinement by going to a yoga class and motoring around her estate in an off-road vehicle.

Stewart "has agreed to an extension of the terms of her home confinement until Aug. 31," her lawyer, Walter Dellinger, said in a brief statement on Wednesday.

Board recommends Janklow regain law license

http://www.startribune.com/stories/587/5539172.html

The State Bar's Disciplinary Board has recommended that former South Dakota Gov. and U.S. Rep. Bill Janklow should regain his license to practice law next February.

If the state Supreme Court accepts that recommendation, it would mean Janklow would be reinstated to practice law about a year before his probation ends for second-degree manslaughter and other convictions related to an August 2003 crash that killed a motorcycle driver from Minnesota.

3. Busted! Sounds like teenager's behavior.
At least a teenager can leave their parents house at 18. She's got a bit tougher time.

4. I'd like to know why this country
slaps a woman beloved by many for doing the same thing as a man hated by many who got away with insider trading, namely W! Why wasn't it a crime when HE did it?! I'm so sick of injustice!

8. Actually, she didn't go to jail for insider trading...
She went to jail for the hideous crime of claiming to be innocent of a crime that she was never convicted of (or even charged with...).

By claiming innocence, she "impeded" an official investigation by "lying" to a government official, even though she wasn't under oath at the time.

Whether you love her or loathe her, think she was innocent or guilty, you have to admit that this was an outrage...

(ok, you don't -have- to admit anything, I'll grant you, until the time the thugs are at your door and they tell you you're guilty...)

9. You know, when my son was two
he used to try to sneak out of the corner when no one was looking too.

You know it is boring in the corner.

Look, Martha is a bit snobby for my tastes and appears to talk down to folks, BUT, that being said, she spent more jail time for telling a financial lie than anyone from this administration will ever see for telling lies that killed thousands, and more time than all the other financial liars who are buddies with GW.

She has spent her time in the corner, now let her out and stop beating the rest of us up. She, IMO only, was beaten to hell cause she is a Dem. I don't see Kenny Boy or anyone from Arthur Anderson rotting in jail for the summer...do you?

Jeez, it was the media who narced her out too. The whole thing, at this point, is stupid. If the media has to go out and play hall monitor, turning in citizens, and MAKE the news, that alarms me more than the fact that she rode her yard or took a Yoga class.

All this ranting from me is not directed at the OP, but the press and the prosecutor's office, and some federal agencies that shall remain nameless to protect the guilty.

11. Sounds like more police-state money was wasted
That's fine, as the more money the evil police state wastes, the less
they have to murder people. Martha's yoga class has saved iraqi lives.
Would that we all waste some of the police state's resources that they
are bankrupt physically on top of their already moral bankruptcy.
