Church Group Plans On Protesting Soldier's Funeral

BAKERSFIELD -- Members of Westboro Baptist Church, based in Kansas, announced on their Web site, they plan on protesting the funeral of Army Pfc. Ramon Villatoro Jr. on Saturday.

Villatoro, of Bakersfield, died in Iraq on July 24, when a bomb detonated near his vehicle. Members of the Westboro Baptist Church believe the bomb that took Villatoro's life is the same bomb that was used to bomb their church--one that preaches heavily against gay practices.

As quoted from a press release, members of the Westboro Baptist Church believe "God Has Become America's Terrorist,/Killing Americans in Strange Lands."
