I love Jim Lampley. He is great as substitute host on the Ed Schultz show |
|
How can we get him his own show? He is really superb. Also, he lives in North San Diego County, which is where I live. That's irrelevant, but nice to know.
He's had great guests, and he is a wonderful progressive voice.

He is a voice we need. Smart, tough, and well spoken.
And he has the balls to say what we know ..... THE ELECTION WAS STOLEN.

2. I agree. Although I like Ed, I'm enjoying this much more. Why does |
|
Jerry Springer have a show on Air America, instead of someone intelligent like Jim L?

7. He's filling in again today. |
|
Check him out. He is far better than Ed. www.wegoted.com (08/05/2005) Friday on the show!
Jim Lampley, NBC Sports and HBO Sports announcer, will be filling in from AM 1360 KLSD, San Diego, CA.
Jim is one of America's most accomplished sports broadcasters with 30 years of experience in television, radio, movies, and the Internet.
Lampley is a frequent writer for the Huffington Post.
Thomas Hauser will be a guest. Hauser is an author, lawyer, and noted authority on and biographer of Muhammad Ali
Hauser is the author of 30 books including 'Muhammad Ali: His Life And Times' and is one of the most respected boxing writers in America
Hauser will discuss one of the greatest athletes of all time, the real story on his social and global impact...and the recent corporate effort to sanitize his legacy
Bree Walker, good friend, former spouse and TV news co-anchor at KCBS in Los Angeles is Jim's guest
Walker received one of the "1000 Points of Light" awards from President George H W Bush
Bree will discuss her progressive position on issues involving health, medicine, science and the politics
Jared Diamond a Pulitzer prize-winning author, evolutionary biologist, physiologist, and biogeographer joins the show.
In his most recent book, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed (2004), Diamond examines what caused some of the great civilizations of the past to collapse into ruin and considers what contemporary society can learn from their fates. - Are past mistakes being repeated? - What does the future hold for our American "civilization"?
Jim will have your calls and more! :bounce:

I've been turning off my radio at 3:00 when Schultz comes on, but yesterday I fell asleep at the end of Franken's show. When I woke up about 3:15 it felt like I was dreaming. What a great radio voice Lampley has. And what he says is so much more intelligent than anything Schultz has EVER said. It grinds across my brain when Schultz calls us "leftys", "Dems", or "Libs". It sounds hostile. Big Ed? Please.
