Tweety with parents of dead soldier
Edward Schroeder (?), they are blasting this war, calling it a waste, wants us out of Iraq. Well worth watching if you catch the replay.

Tomorrow he will be back to his old self, drooling over our "handsome, young, vital, sexy president in his jeans"..

5. He closed the interview saying more people need to hear from people
like you.

I wonder if Tweety remembers how he cheered the "manly" chimp when he landed on the aircraft carrier. Someone should send him a tape. Embarassing.

admiring his "manly forearms," liking the way he rolled up his shirtsleeves. Tweety has issues.

discussions of how many troops are needed. Thinks need 200,000 or more to control the insurgency.

24. Yes, and then he restored dignity to government. Then he saved us from WMD
The children of the rich and connected will not be put in uniform to protect the oil that provides their way of life. Count on it. There may be a few who have enough honor and love of country to volunteer--and you can bet their stories will be highlighted when they run for Congress in five years. But no children of the beltway elite will go under duress to serve their country.

What do you think this is, America?

10. What an interview
I don't know how those parents did that. But they made their point clear. As the father said "Bush had his chance, it is not working, Piss or get off the pot. The mother said "Doing the same thing over and over again is the definition of insanity" Both parents made the point that the president tries to make a distinction "Either you support the troops or you are against us" and they both said that You can support the troops and be against this administrations policy. If anyone has contact info for the parents, I would like to send my condolences and to tell those parents we are with them 1000%. Chris Matthews is nothing but a fucking media whore, yeah he might of been against the war but he did nothing to call this administration to task. I still have goosebumps from listening to those parents. How sad!

"Yes we need to be out of Iraq Now," rather than,(somewhat paraphrased) put in more troops if you're going to stay or otherwise get out.

14. Just caught the interview
And heard the anger and the disillusionment of the entire Midwest in those two parent's voices.

Considering that the Iraqi govenment wants to draft a constitution sans women's rights - so we are sacrificing the lives of all those brave young men and women for this farce? to set up some idiotic theocratic semidemocracy where women are treated as property?

I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no patience for any culture so f___ing obsolete that they can't wrap their monkey brains around the idea that men and women should be absolutely equal in the eyes of the law. Any culture that can't handle this basic fundamental truth of Democracy does not deserve the kind of sacrifice we have been making in Iraq.

how long until the Democrats stand up and make absolute withdrawl a central piece of their platform?

16. no shit.
most of my family is closer to Attila and Freeperland than DU, but lately, I think they have begun to listen. The most conservative is actually agreeing that if the Downing memos are real, that impeachment shoudl be considered.

Overall, Mathews did not do a bad job. I think that he is doing pretty well today.

Those parents really get you in the heart, don't they?

19. BTW, CBS Evening News had an interview with these parents
saying basically the same thing.

This one hit Ohio really hard. Except for the most hardcore koolaid drinkers I think there's a hell of a lot of * voters who see this and are questioning now why the hell we're in Iraq and saying get it done or get out!

I love the point Mrs Schroeder made, either have a draft or bring 'em home. We all know there's no way in hell * and the cabal would go for a draft with the midterms next year. They'd be sure to lose the Congress.
