Holy crap! Jon Stewart just talked about the torture pics, the ACLU, and
how the governemnt is refusing to hand over any of the documents on them, and then threw in how they won't turn over Robert's memos!!

God I love nights like tonight where Jon tears it up!!!

4. I'd been thinking the Daily Show
seemed to be headed for the mainstream - where they didn't offend anybody.

It would be nice if this tearing it up were more the norm.

25. You are so correct...
but isn't it sad that the most down to earth, truthful show has to be labeled a comedy show? WhereTF is the MSM on this? TDS's ratings should be sending a signal that it's in line with a large segment of the public.

3. No spoilers in the subject lines, please.
Some of us don't get to enjoy it for another 2.5 hours.

Thanks!

14. I've tried that
it tells me that I need a plugin to watch the clips. I click on the plugin, something downloads, but I get "no application exists to open file" message. Guess I'm SOL. :-(

22. Spoilers for those that want them!
Edited on Thu Aug-04-05 11:16 PM by Melodybe

Ok that should be enough space for any that don't want to know. First up he rags on Novak for saying bull shit on CNN and walking off the stage. Jon is orgasmic and begins the show by claiming that it is not his birthday but he still got a present... Novak making an ass of himself.

On a new segment called "the less you know" complete with graphics stolen from NBC's "the more you know" Jon talks about how the government is stonewalling the torture pictures and how last years releases were the "tame" pictures. They show Bill O'Reily saying that the ACLU is working with terrorists and how anyone that wants to stop the torturing is helping the terrorist then shows a clip of McCain and O'Reily talking about McCain's new anti-torture bill. O'Reily is a real fuckard where he tries to talk down to John "I was forced to drink my own urine in a bamboo cage for five years" McCain. He ends it with a segment on how the WH is also refusing to release memo's written by SC nom. Roberts when he worked for Bush I.

Then they had an awesome Dukes of Hazzard sketch with Stephen Colbert.

One of the most informative Daily Show's of the last month. I loved every minute!

The show was so good that knowing what subjects he took on won't ruin it. It was SO good! You'll love it.

this as a regular feature. Informing people of things that MSM isn't getting out. It was brilliant!
