NEWS: Approval of Bush's Handling of Iraq Drops to 38%

By WILL LESTER, Associated Press Writer

Americans' approval of President Bush's handling of Iraq is at its lowest level yet, according to an AP-Ipsos poll that also found fewer than half now think he's honest.

A solid majority still see Bush as a strong and likable leader, though the president's confidence is seen as arrogance by a growing number.

Approval of Bush's handling of Iraq, which had been hovering in the low- to mid-40s most of the year, dipped to 38 percent. Midwesterners and young women and men with a high school education or less were most likely to abandon Bush on his handling of Iraq in the last six months...

"This country is a monarchy," said Charles Nuutinen, a 62-year-old independent from Greenville, Wis. "He's turning this country into Saudi Arabia. He does what he wants. He doesn't care what the people want."

5. Likable? But blew it in Iraq and killed how many thousands?
What does he have to do for people to realize he's not "likable"? Drink the blood of infants? . . . The people who voted for and stood by this jerk get what they deserve.

6. Right now is the best time to get a moderate R
to step forward, say enough is enough and call for impeachment hearings. Look at what has happened in just the past week. We cannot just go on day after day anymore. I just do not know how much more lunacy I can take.

What took me over the top happened just a few minutes ago. I read a story about a soldier on leave. He killed his wife and then himself. Their 8 month-old baby was next door..

How much more can we stand?! Where is the outrage from the moderates? Are all their pork projects they get to take home enough to keep their loyalty?
Somebody, please, please step up and do the right thing.
