He could go on the show and get some public absolution from America's favorite pop psychologist.

It worked for coke snorting, prostitute banging Pat O' Brian. He was so very sorry for his addiction. He will never get high snorting Coke out of a prostitute's navel again. Oh America, pity me! I partied TOO hard.

Novak could pull the same scam. Go on there apologize for his drinking problem (for which he would most definitely be getting treatment). He could lay prostrate at the doctor's feet and beg forgiveness for him belligerent attitude and use of obscenities. Maybe he could blubber on a bit about how he assaulted a protester in New Hampshire (for which I'm sure he is VERY sorry)!

America loves a reformed asshole. Just look how they worship the "president" for kicking Coke and booze.

May be a high point in his career if he handles it right!
