Niger is starving, the children are dying--please help
NBC had a segment last night on the crisis. Due to locusts, drought, and very high prices for food, many are starving. Go to MSNBC to read more and find a list of groups who are giving aid. Thanks for looking.

1. I've seen the segment too.
It is a terrible situation and it is even more terrible because a little bit of help from richer countries could do so much to help in this country that is one of the poorest in the world.

I just put up a piece about it, what a tragedy. The entire Sahel region has millions facing starvation, we've got to change our economic policies and quit taking these people's resources. A uranium rich country should not be the 2nd poorest in the world.
