Is Roberts gay?
Will he end up with more Democratic votes than Repub votes? This is putting the Repubs into quite a dilemma. Since he conveniently forgot that he worked to overturn Amendment Two, which James Dobson and the right-wingers in Colorado had worked so hard to pass in 1992. Oh, my! :)

1. He's not gay
Or, at the very least I haven't seen any evidence that he's gay. But perhaps you have some evidence that he is?

No response - I take it you don't have any proof?

3. BWAHAHAHA
I don't think he is (but who really knows but himself and his beard), but I love doing my part to spread this meme because it gets the right's collective panties in such a twist!

5. If he is in the closet, I suspect he won't be outted
unless he comes down hard on some decision after he's on the court.

6. Beware
The man is a danger because he is a cabalism crony. They don't care what gay people can and can't do and only use the right wing loons for their votes.
Of more concern to me (and I'm gay by the way) is whether he is going to rule for issues that allow less corporate accountability, less government accountability, and more government intrusion into our individual liberties.
It's quite convenient that this surfaces now, after the initial campaign of "oh, look what a moderate he is" fell sort of flat.

8. Amendment Two was such a huge defeat for Dobson and the right-wing
That there is simply no way they can ignore this...

13. That may be
But it also makes him more palatable to you, does it not? And that's what I'm saying is the danger here. These people can afford to be on "our" side on issues like this because they DON'T CARE one way or the other. It's the other issues we need to be wary of...is he going to vote to uphold things like White House secrecy and stonewalling? More shields for corporations against public accountability? More government intrusion?
Yeah, I want someone who is going to rule fairly on gay issues but more important to me is someone who is going to rule to keep our society democratic because in a democratic society I can always work for change on those issues.

7. Hm, could explain why he and his wife "adopted" two children
instead of having any of their own, according to the "Christian way" . . .

Marriage of convenience? Hmmmmmm, . . .
