big Pharma suing it's way into schools..
A former employee is suing the Bloomfield R-XIV school district for violation of her First Amendment rights and acts of retaliation in violation of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and of the Missouri Human Rights Act.

Details of the lawsuit, filed by former employee Kelly Moreno back in January in the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri against the district, came to light at the board's July 18 meeting. The case stems from the March 2004 firing of Moreno as school nurse.

According to the complaint filed by Moreno and her attorneys she was retaliated against for "her advocacy on behalf of disabled students and/or her expressed concern about Defendant's lack of compliance with federal law."
