Finally a case where the death penalty might be ok.
It would be considered for anyone shown to be involved in a case where a person was murdered at the states request and later it was shown the person murdered was innocent.

So step right up all people who are so sure of their ability to judge guilt. You are free to judge and send other humans to their deaths until you make a mistake, then you will join them. Have no fear, you will be judged by someone just as sure as you were.

BTW just kidding about killing human beings being ok, it's never ok.

1. This exactly illustrates
why I'm opposed to the death penalty. I don't trust our (in)justice system.

2. Ok here we go again
For someone against the death penalty, you are now saying it might be ok for some. When will the maddness end? If you think it wrong, it's wrong for all. Just my two cents.

4. Would that mean the judge, the prosecutor, or the jury?
I'd love to see a jury's reaction when the judge explains this rule to them.

6. Certainly the judge, jury and prosecution.
Not that there are not many errors of logic in the law, but if more people were held accountable when charged with taking a human life
maybe more people would begin to take notice of the problem of taking that life based on lack of reasonable doubt.
Since the defendant is being told that it's fair to take life based on lack of reasonable doubt why would the jury not be willing to bet their lives on it as well ?

7. White collar corporate crime
I relish the thought of white haired rich white men being dragged off to the death chamber.

Tee hee.
