Newsweek Poll: Bush approval 42% / Iraq approval 34%
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 10:22 PM by Chichiri
Sorry if this is a repeat . . .

54% dissatisfaction with the way things are going.

64% say that the war in Iraq has not made us safer from terrorism.

This is the beginning of history, folks.

1. I havent seen it and its great news in a way
The great news is that people are waking up to the master of disaster they elected.

The sad part is that were stuck in a war without an end in sight and our youngins are getting killed.

3. The tide is turning...
...wonder what new disaster shrub's brain is cooking up at Crawford to distract and confuse the sheeple.

Am I cynical??? Nah, I just believe that this criminal administration will screw America before they let go of the reins of power.

4. The tide may be turning, but.....
It's really a hollow victory that people are experiencing buyer's regret.

Bush is installed for the next 4 years. And I'm sure he could care less about his poll ratings.

Our only hope is to get back control of Congress, get some articles of impeachment written, and put him on trial in the Senate.

5. We'll see if these numbers are reflected in the midterms.
Otherwise, it's completely meaningless. Where were all these people last year? Watching Fox?

8. Bush will bring the troops home before the '06 elections and declare a
great victory. Republicans will thus retain power in Congress. Bush will then restart the draft so that he can invade Iran just before the '08 elections

6. a year before the elections theyll bring up Gay marriage
and theyll run on that again convincing these same people that a vote for Dems is a vote for the downfall of America.

And the Dems will allow it by taking the defensive instead of a full blown offensive assault.

I can only hope we can learn from mistakes .
