Why are the Republicans still supporting this jerk????
In another topic, I found a link to Survey USA:

http://www.surveyusa.com/Bush50StateApproval0605.htm

Now, click on any state (yours, for example.) Go over to the green section under "Party Affiliation".

I clicked on at least 15-20 states, and the WORST that * was doing among Republicans was 79%. Most states have a single-digit percentage of Republicans disapproving *.

Why???

1. They aren't wired right. It has to be.
They are so mesmerized and unaware, I have come to the conclusion that their brains really aren't capable of absorbing any scandal's implications of right or wrong.

4. Cause he's a nice guy, and they'd like to have a beer with him!
All the problems with the US and the World are someone elses fault. George wouldn't do any of those bad things!

5. For the same reason we ourselves probably would
if it was a dem in office.

We would be afraid that if we publically kick the president's butt and called him out it would make the whole party look bad and cost us elections.

People would relate (D) to failure and vote (R) next time which would only make the problem worse.

Repugs are the same way. Smack down bush and the party goes down as well. People will see (R) as bad and not just bush. They want to keep winning and see a chance to get another R in office which they know will be better then bush, and certainly to them better then any D that could in.

People put up with crap for fear of losing more then they have already lost.

What would we do here? If we get a D president in will be slamming them on each thing we disagree with or ignoring it because we want to project a good image to the masses?

I may well be wrong, but I thought I would toss it out anyway.

If a D president did anything like Bush did I believe most Duers would hold nothing back.
Actually we would be able to get him impeached. Bush is a traitor and deserves to be in jail. The only reason he isn't is because Reps have no integrity.

14. Hell no. If a Dem did 1/5th of what Bush has done, I'd be calling
my representatives and urging them to impeach the bastard.

7. E - G - O. They'd rather cling to an illusion than admit they were wrong.
Wrong to support him to start with.

Its the same selfish mentality that allows them to drive Hummers with "W" stickers on the back while the bloodshed continues in Iraq for oil, I mean wmds, I mean freedom, I mean fighting them over there, I mean, anything other than oil.

They are selfish, egotistical people who'd rather bow before a giant letter of the alphabet like some KISS fan rather than pull back the magic flag and see the harm they've helped cause.

As long as bushboy and the gang keep that red, white and blue balloon afloat for them to marvel at, they'll never worry about the rising sewer in which they sit, fat and happy, like a pig led to slaughter.

Its so easy, and requires NO effort. Fat, lazy Americans who think a yellow piece of plastic makes them a super-patriot, when in fact, they are part of the cancer that eats away the the very thing to which they claim utter devotion.

They are willful bots.

9. Because people hate to admit they're wrong.
I know I do. Especially on something so big as the presidency.

12. Idaho GOP has a stranglehold on politics
How utterly embarrasing. If Jesus Christ ran against Larry Craig, Christ would lose as a lazy loafer and drifter with strange ideas.

17. because they fear losing their money and future "riches"
more than they value peace & prosperity for everyone.

They have been duped into thinking that "personal responsibility" is a republican trait, yet they willingly accept farm subsidies, FEMA money, Flood Insurance money, small business loans, etc.

When a poor person needs a helping hand, they care considered freeloaders who do not take personal responsibilities..

republicans do not think for themselves, and are easily "led"..
