Crawford: if Bush had a clue.... |
|
He would meet with Cindy Sheehan this morning and shut down this story before it gets bigger.
You've got dozens of bored media sitting down there in Crawford waiting for something to happen (or for Bush to invite them in for some table scraps). They are probably junior reporters, hoping to get a story, any story on the air or into print.
And you've got Veterans for Peace, meeting in Dallas... heading over to Crawford like the calvary (we hope). Not to mention a growing number of peace activists arriving to support Cindy.
I"m pretty certain any sane advisor would recommend Bush meet with Cindy in private, and maybe she and her supporters will go quietly away. However, if they calculate she won't be satisfied with just a meeting.. then it won't happen, and this protest will grow by the day.
With bored media in Crawford, this could get more attention than a million protesters in Washington. Calling all patriotic Texans... get out there and ask Bush why our sons and daughters are being asked to die for him.

1. He doesn't give a damn, and has no answers for Ms. Sheehan. |
|
I can't imagine his handlers even allowing the blivet to appear to show any sympathy or remorse, because he shares none of those feelings as far as I can see.

2. If Bush were sane I'd agree... |

however his handlers/trainers are probably afraid the moron would go out there and crack a joke. And while some are taken in by his "just plain folks" bullshit Cindy is not. She called him on it when she met him at the WH. She'd drill him and he'd probably lose his temper.

5. That's right..it's coming back |
|
to me..when Cindy met him before she was asking the hard questions and now bush will absolutely refuse to have that uncomfortable(anything less than praise is uncomfortable for the chimp) feeling again with Cindy Sheehan!

chimp hasn't met with Cindy before..I remember reading something on DU where she and other people met with him after Casey was killed and she commented that he had the most "vacant eyes".
You are absolutely right but who has ever said the current occupants of the white house ever had any clues?

4. wouldn't the best thing for their cause be to get arrested? |
|
seriously
they'd HAVE to cover that, wouldn't they?
easy for me to say, but if I were one who's child had been slain by the insanely criminal policies wrought by these monsters, I'd have very few qualms about getting juked by the nazis

7. I'm sure Cindy's ready to |
|
die for what she believes in. The SS were already reported to say(in another thread) that they would have to kill them if they stayed the night.
I gather the SS were bluffing.

10. I saw that last night. Is there anything they're not capable of? |
|
isn't there some sort of statute against intimidation?
was the threat made in front of more than one person?
are they sure it was an SS goon, or maybe that guy from Denver who had the protesters removed from dumbass' triumph of the will scene there

11. Best thing would be to continue to get ignored for a while |
|
Wait until the numbers are there, and the coverage of her wait is greater, then arrest her. Best thing for bushites is to invite her in on her own, no public statement, or arrest her and dig up/manufacture evidence that even though she is mentally unsound, Mr.Bush does care and is getting her the help she so desperately needs. (that was more cynical than usual, but I can see this going either way, don't trust them as far as I can picture them).

13. Great post!! I agree... let the numbers climb. This story has legs. |
|
Let the people get there who are on their way from the far corners of the country. This is nothing but bad press for the chimp. The more he ignores her and the higher the numbers of people standing with her climb the bigger the story gets.
Go Cindy!!! I wish I could be there.
