Tommy Thompson:Chips can save lives..
fish with those chips..??

save lives as in the elites lives when the lies get exposed..

"'Health Chips' Could Help Patients in US
Jul. 31--President Bush's former health secretary Tommy Thompson is putting the final touches to a plan that could result in US citizens having a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip inserted under their skin, The Business has learned.

The RFID capsules would be linked to a computerised database being created by the US Department of Health to store and manage the nation's health records. It could be the precursor to a similar scheme in the UK.

Thompson, now a director of Applied Digital Solutions, the company that makes the chips, intends to publish the proposal in the next 50 days, by which time he plans to have had a VeriChip inserted in his arm. Thompson believes the capsules could help save thousands of lives every year.

Civil liberties groups such as Caspian in the US fear that the need for increased security in the wake of terrorist attacks could act as a catalyst for a more widespread use of VeriChips. "

7. We will become people of the pod, with a wink and a nod,
forbidden by G*d, towards our fate we plod,

With Orwellian glee,

they tag you and me,

for they cannot see,

we must stay free,

The lunatics in D.C.,

Divorced from reality,

They can't let it be,

They are targetting you and me,

When sanity does return,

The boy king will learn,

That democracy will be,

Once more for you and me,

Something to strongly defend,

And never let it be trampled again.

I have a visceral fear of this. All those dystopian scifi movies rolled into one. Big Brother to an order of magnitude. The fulfillment of prophecy re the Mark of the Beast (IMO) -- the Beast being the fascist state.

As Huey P. Long once said, "Sure we'll have fascism in America, but it'll come disguised as 100 percent Americanism." And GOOD for you, too.

Edited to add: And just remember, folks, wasn't the job he had before this Homeland Security? And before that, HHS? He also had some conflict-of-interest type ties with some pharma company(ies) in his home state.

FDA approves use of implantable data chip
VeriChips, radio frequency microchips the size of a grain of rice, have already been used to identify wayward pets and livestock. And nearly 200 people working in Mexico's attorney general's office have been implanted with chips to control access to secure areas containing sensitive documents.

Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX) of Delray Beach, Fla., in July asked the FDA for approval to use the implantable chip for medical uses in the United States. The agency had 60 days to reply.

In morning trading Wednesday, Applied Digital shares were up 92 cents at $3.04 on the Nasdaq Stock Market — near the middle of their 52-week range of $1.94 to $5.

It's the first time the FDA has approved the use of the device, though in Mexico, more than 1,000 scannable chips have been implanted. The chip's serial number pulls up the patients' blood type and other medical information.

With the pinch of a syringe, the microchip is inserted under the skin in a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes and leaves no stitches.

Silently and invisibly, the dormant chip stores a code — similar to the identifying UPC code on products sold in retail stores — that releases patient-specific information when a scanner passes over the chip.

Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 04:28 PM by HypnoToad
looking at those in charge of our government, I cannot trust them.

Even if I could trust them now, a future one might prove themselves untrustworthy.

I DO see the positive side in these chips.

Unfortunately, until they can actively monitor the health of the person stuck with the chip, I do not see how a RFID chip can do what a cell phone can't. Particularly as we all don't go rock climbing or work in desert cartography for a living...

John Doe arrives at an ER in a distant community with no records and quite unconsious (with a tube down his throat courtesy of EMS).

That said, for that to work we would have to have all medical records accessible on a super network, given how well the VA centers talk to each other today and they are one network, these chips are not what they are being sold as

47. As an EMS worker (former) I can tell you there is a problem
whether you are insured or not, what medicines are you taking? A blood thinner will lead to all kinds of fun complications... NOT

Then there are the conditions that will also create problems in the first 12 hours. (Diabetes for example)

Does this mean that we should all be chipped? No... a simple solution with the same overt benefits would be a medical bracelet, which many diabetics wear anyway, or a credit card that can be read by a computer reader... and no need of a computer network)

You asked for the positives, I just gave them to you, but the negatives are far larger than any of the potential benefits, that can quite frankly be achieved by many other techniques.

Now truth be told two of my three parrots are chipped... and with them it sort of makes sense... no way to recover them otherwise if they fly the coop

that's why it makes sense to chip them. people don't like the idea of being chipped b/c we don't like the idea of being tracked like a UPS package or a lost parrot.

btw -- i'm saying this b/c the set-up was there. hope you don't take offense. my original point was emergency medicine isn't in danger of becoming extinct b/c of a lack of RFID implants. didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. :)

As technology improves, such a chip could be used not only for ID purposes, but also could replace ATM and/or credit cards.

Chipping will be sold as the solution to prevent many forms of crime:

How do you mug someone who's not carrying cash or cards?

Missing children (or rich white girls of the week on FAUX)? Nope, not when they can be tracked on GPS 24/7. (They're using this logic to chip pets right now. Hope that doesn't send puppies & kitties to Hell :evilfrown: )

War on drugs? No cash, no drug dealers. (Of course the CIA might oppose chipping for this very reason)

How do you mug someone who's not carrying cash or cards?

to get the cash, it would now be necessary to kidnap and hold the person or even operate to remove the chip

when atms were first popular in my area and only allowed a small amt of $$$ to be taken out per day, some women were kidnapped and held for days so that every day they could withdraw the $$$

why wouldn't this happen w. the implant

Hey DUer's-this is the Tommy Thompson thread!
Let's see what we can come up with on the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

He hired the numero uno anthrax attack suspect imho Jerome Hauer from SAIC on 9-10-01.

After the next day's attacks on WTC and Pentagon, but well in advance of the anthrax attacks, Tommy Thompson and Jerome Hauer promoted the use of I.G. Farben's spin-off company Bayer's antidote for anthrax Cipro.

Tommy Thompson bragged about his negotiating skills in a Bayer deal for 300 million doses of Cipro as innocent US Postal Service employees were being infected in HOT ZONES.

Tommy Thompson put Jerome Hauer in charge of US biodefense.

Then there is Tommy Thompson's eugenicist pal Charles Murray (The Bell Curve) that Tommy hired when Governor of Wisconsin to "end welfare as we know it"-Thompson and Murray came up with what eventually became the federally adopted model of welfare reform, the Wisconsin Works/W2 program.

What do you know about Tommy?

bobthedrummer
12. Anthrax attack suspect number one, in my book, is Jerome Hauer-

Tommy Thompson hired Jerome Hauer from SAIC on 9-10-2001.

Immediately after the 9/11 attacks, well before any indication of anthrax (specifically) attack, Jerome Hauer and Tommy Thompson promoted the use of I.G.Farben spin-off pharmaceutical giant Bayer's antidote for anthrax (specifically) Cipro.

Were they psychic?

And while Tommy Thompson stood around bragging about his negotiating a 300 million Cipro dose deal with Bayer, innocent US Postal Service employees were working and being infected in HOT ZONES!

Tommy Thompson has been evasive with the People for far too long.

The Tommy Thompson/ Duer research anthrax investigation thread

The Tommy Thompson/ Duer research anthrax investigation thread
Edited on Wed Apr-14-04 01:00 PM by bobthedrummer

Fact, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, but well before the anthrax attacks that involved US Ames strain spores weaponized by the US Army for end user CIA, Tommy Thompson released and endorsed taking Cipro to a lot of folks around him.

Fact, Tommy Thompson hired SAIC's Jerome Hauer on 9-10-2001.

Fact, Tommy Thompson negotiated a deal with Bayer (an I.G. Farben spin-off) for 300 million doses of Cipro, he made innocent US Postal Service workers stand in an anthrax hot-zone to listen to his bragging about his negotiating skills (with Bayer!).

Fact, Tommy Thompsons DHSS was given national security classification authority by the George W. Bush administration.

Some questions suggested by facts:

How come Tommy Thompson hired SAIC's Jerome Hauer on 9-10-2001?

Why did Tommy Thompson use and promote the taking of Cipro before the anthrax attacks?

Why hasn't there been an arrest made in the anthrax attack since we know it was entirely a domestic crime?

Who can add to this anthrax/LIHOP thread centering on Tommy Thompson's unbelievable behavior before the anthrax attacks?

http://www.publicintegrity.org/wow/resources.aspx?act=c...

David Kay was VP of SAIC before officially joining CIA.

Btw, Tommy Thompson hired Jerome Hauer from SAIC on 9-10-2001.
They promoted the use of Cipro in DC well BEFORE the anthrax attacks.
Jerome Hauer is in charge of public preparedness for biological warfare.

SAIC's a LIHOP mercenary imo.

53. they'll target the fear of new parents...
"If your baby is abducted or lost, we can track 'em!" Just think, within a generation, we'll have people who really won't protest being chipped.

Scary, huh?

55. They're currently building those chips on my college campus.
Alien Technologies is the company making those. While the company is bringing a lot of money to the region, I really have scruples to the kind of things they're doing there.

59. How about the "Freedom Chip", or "Liberty Implant"
Then, you make it very inconvienient to travel, do business, etc. without one. Blame it on terrorism or some such nonsense, then viola'. See, if you just get chipped, you can have your 'freedom' or 'liberty' back.

57. Something to consider about this medical chip:
Say, for instance, they implant one into you this week. It will have your medical info effective this week. But say you then have a series of major medical problems over the next two or three years. The chip will then contain obsolete and possibly harmful info because it will not have your more recent medical info. These RFID chips, if they are at all like the ID chips for animals, cannot be altered or updated. They contain info at the start that stays in the chip and does not change. So how are they going to be of any realistic use??

They are not really for medical assistance. They are for ID purposes and perhaps also for physical tracking. Just my humble opinion, BTW.

58. Man, I was looking into getting a medical bracelet or necklace,
but a CHIP??? No fucking way! My parrot has an identity chip, but it's there to reunite us should he become lost or stolen. I think with animals it's different.
