Space Shuttle Return coverage - heads up if you have HDTV.
HDNet will be providing LIVE coverage of the Shuttle's return in full HIGH DEFINATION starting at 4:30a EDT/3:30a CDT/2:30 MDT/1:30PDT this morning.

If you saw the HD Coverage of the liftoff, then you know that this will be SOMETHING TO SEE....

1. I don't have HDTV, but May I ask you, why do you think it's so great?
I've heard it's very clear and crisp, but I don't see that as a big turnon.

I saw the big difference in stereo v mono, and there sure is a BIG diff. if something is 3D, but I've seen HDTV in the stores, and I just can't justify the cost of the set!

2. I wonder, too.
Not sure these old eyes can appreciate the difference.

4. The detail, the clarity, the depth of picture...
and widescreen.

Put a standard TV and a HDTV next to each other, then feed them the same souce (one in SD, one in HD). You will see the instant difference.

Kinda like the difference between watching a painting of an event and looking thru a open window.

5. I've done that comparison, and I still don't think it's worth the $$.
I would love to have a big screen TV, but I can't justify the cost of those either!

6. I saw it fly over Texas
a while back, and it was incredible! never forget it! it zoomed over the skies in no time, and I remember telling my kids not to forget.
