Imagination
My best friend and I still have "sleepovers" about every week if we can. Usually we go out on walks around midnight just to cool down and see if anything interesting happens.

We both have very active imaginations, and there's always something (usually a noise) that could lead to something happening. Unfortunately, nothing actually ever does happen, of course.

But someday, I think this is going to drive me to insanity. Reality is boring to me. Sure, I have fun with my friends and when I'm just doing stuff that is fun to me, but still...so boring. Just a bunch of humans sitting around working so they can get money to get better stuff and then die. Arguing amongst each other, killing each other, blah, blah, blah. Same thing every damn day.

I think if it was ever proven that there isn't a Bigfoot/Yeti/Sasquatch, proved there are no aliens, no multiverse, and a billion other theories and ideas, I would have to kill myself. I HAVE to believe in those things to keep myself sane. I never see the point of this BORING world very often.

7. The questions you ask
aren't new. Sorry! I don't think anyone has the answers. I do think Fritjof Capra and the Taoist master offer a better direction then Art Bell and Coast to Coast! Keep it real.

2. Something tells me ...
you aren't paying close attention.

I assure you, when you are out there with your friend, there's something going on that's WAY more difficult to explain than aliens, yetis or UFOs. That's right - what's going on in your head. The fact that you are there experiencing anything at all is just UTTERLY BIZARRE if you stop and think about it.

No-one has any idea AT ALL about how that happens - it's the number one mystery of the universe and it is going on inside your head every moment of your waking life (consciousness, I mean).

3. Well
generally we sit around and talk about consciousness and psychology quite often and we've come up with some interesting theories about it. Though granted, they're probably already taken somewhere and we just haven't read about them.

But again, if I'm walking around and I'm thinking about how I'm thinking and why I'm thinking, then it just becomes like yetis and aliens. Something incredibly interesting that won't be proven or disproven for a long time. I'll just sit there wondering, formulating theories and never knowing.

Just one more thing to drive me crazy.

10. Who said anythong about thinking? Pay attention! - it's an interesting
phenomenon... ;-)

Mostly being bored is just an attitude: "come on, world - DO SOMETHING.."

You have to do something yourself sometimes, instead.

9. A wiser man than I once said, "Reality is what you can get away with"
As it is, a nice long gaze upwards on a clear, moonless night, in a place far from the lights of humanity...

should convince you that we don't live in a "boring" place.

Even the fact that there is a consensus "reality" of flat backgrounds and little need to sleep but to dream... and it's accepted by so many people... shit, man, THAT'S interesting.

11. Reality is more radical then fantasy
You'll see that if you expand your view a bit.

You could go help fight the corporate pirates, and for starters risk being run over by the Secret Service while you camp out at 'the ranch' in Crawfort, to help Cindy. It's pretty much guaranteed to get you on a black list. Of course you could just continue to be safe (for now) and be bored.
