Isn't the elimination of public schools impossible ? Boortz is such an ass
I cannot believe, for one nanosecond, that all education-loving parents could withdraw their kids from public schools and place them into private schools. Ever heard of supply and demand, Boortz ? Ever heard of financial reality for most hard-pressed Americans, you ass ? This rant is inspired by about 45 seconds of listening to him this morning. My rental truck had no AAR, etc.

1. Boortz is on two stations at the same time here in my GA town.
He such such a total ass. He pretends to be a Libertarian but he's not: he votes Republican. He doen't vote for Libertarian candidates for President or Georgia Governor.

I'd like to pose this question to him: If 'government schools' are so awful, then should we close down the entire University of Georgia system starting with UGA and GA Tech and extending all the way to the state Technical College System?

He is beyond contempt. Just don't listen. You'll feel better.

2. NCLB is designed to push people into private schools.
NCLB sets the bar high, then they underfund the program making it more difficult for poor districts to pass. If they don't pass , they lose funding. You get the picture.

The plan is to degrade public education to make private education more desirable.

3. What's interesting is
listening to plans to improve public education developed by people who want to eliminate it. Kind of like those plans for social security (developed by people who want to eliminate it.

4. Boortz knows better
he's just such a slave to his whoremasters.
I live in DeKalb County in Georgia. Look at the valedictorians of any of the DeKalb County high schools. They're headed for the Ivy League. to MIT. To Stanford. Many are second generation Asian-Americans. Some are first generation. And they're products of public schools. It's not the schools. It's what you do there.
Too many parents blame their kid's performance on the school.
The emphasis should be on the student's willingness to learn.
Consider that many students at Atlanta's most prestigious private schools can't get into UGA. Since the HOPE scholarship, more students can afford college. And that's squeezing out those supposedly superior students, the private school kids. Their public school "inferiors" are shutting them out.
Boortz needs to read "Freakonomics". These rants by conservatives have no bearing in fact. It's made up drivel based on prejudice.
Boortz is lazy. He just says what his audience wants to hear.
Turn him off. He's a waste of time.

6. There's plenty of people trying.
That's why there's a concerted effort to ruin public schools with NCLB, standardized tests, and Creationism.
