MODS: I'd like to make a plea regarding 9/11 posts in this forum . . .
I fully understand that 9/11 is a complex topic, and that the amount of information out there is enormous . . . confining discussions of what did or did not happen on 9/11 to a designated forum is not only a good idea, it's a necessity . . .

however . . .

there is another aspect to 9/11 that doesn't involve the those specifics . . . rather, it involves the rapidly growing movement to reopen the 9/11 investigation, which is both a political strategy and a moral imperative . . . it's a level above the particulars of the event, if you will . . .

I'd like to request that posts involving the reopening of the investigation be permitted in the General Discussion forum so that they get wider readership . . . the basis for every illegal, unethical, and immoral action that BushCo is undertaking is the "official" version of what happened on 9/11 . . . the war, the Patriot Act, "rendering" captives to other countries for torture, the US archipelago of secret detention facilities -- all of these originated from and are dependent upon the 9/11 story that BushCo has propegandized since Day 1 . . .

imo, the key to defeating BushCo is the truth about 9/11 . . . and I think the topic of reopening the investigation, and how to make that happen, should be allowed here . . . it's just too important an issue to relegate to a forum that is read by far fewer DUers than is GD . . .

so what say you? . . . would initiating discussions about reopening the 9/11 investigation -- without getting into the specifics of what did or did not happen that day -- be okay? . . .

thanks for your kind consideration . . . :)

OneBlueSky,

The Moderators do not set policy and it's inappropriate (not to mention counterproductive) to ask us to do something we do not have the authority to do -- namely, to set DU forum posting policy. This includes with respect to 9/11-related topics.

You really need to take this up with those who have the power to make policy changes, the Administrators. You can contact them via the information here:

Sincerely,
