Republican politicians don't have the strength of character to rule. |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 07:48 PM by Just Me
Republicans are TOO willing to sacrifice this nation for their power.
Republicans FAIL to take a stand against a criminal and deceptive regime.
Republicans are too chicken to demand accountability within their own ranks.
Republicans are too self-centered to be capable of serving the interests of others.
Republicans are too greedy to care for the weak among us.
Republicans are too ambitious to advance democracy.
Republicans are too shallow to value our people and soldiers.
Republicans are too cynical to be honest about their motivations.
Republicans are too rigid to allow innovation (unless profiteering is involved).
Republicans are too controlling to maximize human potential.
Republicans are too loyal to themselves to render justice.
Republicans are too selective to grow a healthy nation.
Edited OP based upon excellent advice!!! :7

1. Good framing! This is how we need to address our differences, |
|
because, sadly, most voters just aren't interested in nuance.

17. This isn't "framing",...it's reality. |
|
Please, do not characterize my expression of "reality" as mere "framing".
Please, don't condemn my observation and perception as some,...empty rhetoric or semantics.

My intention was to compliment you for boiling down our differences with the Repubs and stating them in such clear, simple terms.

Frankly, we're not AGAINST all those Americans who identify with the Republican party,...they are our fellow Americans.
They are being exploited, too,...shamefully.
I wouldn't turn a one down at my door. This profiteering regime will set up a friggin' "WALL" against those who don't "serve" their interests.
Disgusting.

2. Why do you think they appeal to extreme? |
|
They're too square about everything.
That's why there are no funny republican comedians...and no...Jeff Foxworthy is not funny.

12. The "extremists" are the easiest to control. |
|
They are the easiest to be "spent". They are the most gullible to being manipulated as "objects".
What can I say?

18. Well, their sense of powerlessness, tied entirely to their party,... |
|
,...is being manipulated in PRECISELY the same way that "H" utilized to CONTROL people. It's just so sad and disgusting. I live among Republicans,...and they certainly do NOT deserve to have their loyalty abused and betrayed in such ways.

4. Here, let me try a slightly different angle...... |
|
Republican Politicians put their party first before their country.
Republican Politicians are too proud to admit when they are wrong.
Republican Politicians protect their own -even from the law.
Republican Politicians will believe anything -so long as it was said by another Republican.
Republican Politicians are afraid to stand up to the real bullies.
Republican Politicians talk about patriotic things to get elected.
Republican Politicians care more about winning than doing the right thing.
Republican Politicians can't think for themselves -that's why they all repeat the same stupid catch-phrases over and over again.
Republican Politicians don't care about protecting the weak from the strong.
Republican Politicians don't really care about abortion or gays -they use it to manipulate your emotions so you will vote for them.
Republican Politicians have country boy accents -when they are in front of the camera.
Republican Politician's kids aren't fighting in the war -your's are.

Those who lodge themselves as "Republicans" are not fairly represented by their representatives. I'm sure they know that and are terribly frustrated.

Read the op three times now. Think it's quite a good frame, since they framed us the same way. I mean, I'm all for not labeling, but we ARE talking politics. Its about time this party took some hard lines like this. It's not like we aren't backed up by facts. The difference is stating it and then acting, not just pushing the statements over and over. Unfortunately, if Kerry had taken some of this kind of hard line (maybe phrases a bit differently? No, maybe not) they would have had a harder time pegging him as wishy-washy. Eh?
