So, conservatives want to compare the Iraq war to World War II
OK, fine. Why is there no draft? Why aren't our factories ceasing all production of luxury consumer goods to produce weapons and equipment for the troops? We need to be raising taxes through the roof, especially for the rich. Why aren't young children going around their neighborhoods collecting aluminum cans and pieces of rubber for the war effort? Where are the war bonds? Where is the food rationing? The gas rationing? The rationing of all raw materials for consumer use, because they are needed for the war effort? Why aren't we seeing newsreels of the news from the war when we go to the movies?

2. The War on Terror Is NOT Like WWII...
Hitler was definitely a menace. The War On Terror is a SCAM, a LIE...It's all about creating a Global Corporate Empire, headed by the U.S. It has nothing to do with "democracy" or "freedom".

It's all lies.

4. Thanks to Raygun, we don't produce anything of any value in
this country anymore, do we? China owns us and they will produce what we need to fight our wars and they will ultimately devour us. And it's all Clinton's fault!

11. Just in case you THINK you're joking (tee-hee)...

For morbid laughs, I occasionally browse the Conservative Book Club to see the puerile nonsense (the titles/covers alone look composed by 4th graders!) they have to give away, I'll bet, because most READERS (people truly interested in acquiring knowledge/info through READING) just don't seem willing to plunk down cash for yet another rehash from the Blame Bill/Hill Bunch.

5. The most glaring difference
Germany declared war on the USA following the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

That means BOTH Japan and Germany declared war on the USA.

This fact escapes soooo many cons.

"Why did we attack Germany if Japan bombed us??? cause Germany was a greater threat ya see!"

Uh Wrong. Germany, Japan and Italy made up the Axis Powers. This meant if one declared war on a nation then the other two would follow.

Thus by default Germany declared war on the USA.

Just out of curiosity also I do believe and understand that before the bombing of Pearl Harbor there were a good number of citizens who opposed getting involved in "that European Affair" however after the naiton was truly under attack and declared war on, as far as I know we didn't have reports of mothers and wives protesting outside of the president's vacation home or "ranch" when their sons and husbands didn't come back home alive....

Think we buy war bonds at the gas pump, kids are going around neighborhoods collecting aluminum cans for "rationed" food, and as far as newsreels how about Faux Nooz at home and and geez it seems the neo-cons are getting really desperate WW2 was the "good war" and well they're really desperate. 38% and FALLING
