Bush is going to sabotage his own Administration
Howard Dean recently said that Immigrants will be the new scapegoat for the GOP.

He is right.

Does anyone find it weird that Bush is supporting legislation that will make it easier for illegal immigrants to be in America?

And

Does anyone find it weird that a lot of Republicans want to oppose Bush's plan?

They want to divide America over this.

Bush won't be able run again, so he can destroy the credibility of his own Administration to give political capital to the other members of the Republican Party. (You know Karl Rove has this planned)

They have to be stopped.

1. How diabolical
His presidency has a flame out - and Bill Frist or some other designated candidate comes in and saves the day?

Interesting Theory, but i don't see Bush being that self-sacrificing.

Course he might be too dumb to realize what he's doing.

2. I don't think he gives a damn about the politics
This is about big business/cheap labor.

Now, to appeal to the red-meat "let's throw all the darkies in jail and lock down the borders" crowd, this seems like a bad idea.

But, to business interests (Walmart, Agri-business) this influx of immigrants willing to work $5/Hr is great news.

Guess which side * is leaning to????

3. I'm in your corner
I think it's all about cheap labor, too.

I just saw an article in the NYT's I think about GM cars produced in China. The workers there get .60 a hour. They were small SUV types.

This whole global economy thing does not bode well for the middle class blue collar worker. 4,000 manufacturing jobs were lost last moth while every other sector grew. Over 3 million manufacturing jobs have been lost in the last several years.

Kinda scary. Those people's wages pretty much fueled the economy.

6. Don't think he knows anything...
...about politics or labor! All he knows how to do is take his meds and follow orders like a good boy.

9. Yup
not defending Shrub here, but I've always felt that somebody else was pulling Chimp's strings. He's too clueless and stupid to be anything more than a puppet.
