Bush would not be impeached even if Democrats controlled both House ...
and Senate...by a huge majority. Because, they don't have the balls. Not because they don't think he is deserving of impeachment, but because they would think there might be some negative fallout from such an endeavor. They would not have the political courage, in my opinion.

And the Repubs are not going to vote for any impeachment. Hell, they are afraid to vote against any bill that Dubya supports. They sure as hell wouldn't go so far as to impeach him. So, looking at it realistically, it ain't gonna happen - even if we win the House and Senate.

1. So be it- let's just try to get the House and Senate back in the meantime
...history will judge * with or without impeachment.

4. You talk about the Democrats like they are some other party...
Why not at least try to get those in office that will impeach Bush? How does it do us any good to blame Democrats for something they haven't even done? This kind of thinking isn't going to get us anything.

It's like saying, "Why Vote, the diebold machines won't let us win anyways?".

5. I dont see how you can draw that conclusion.
you cant determine how democrats in power would act based on the behavior of those not in power.

7. I say, "in my opinion"...
Judging from the recent past, I would not hold forth the fantasy of an impeachment...

8. Saying "in my opinion" doesn't immunize you from criticism.

I'm aware of your opinion, I just think your opinion is poorly founded.

6. I'm afraid you could be right.
That could change if a "deepthroat" comes forward with a smoking gun.

But sadly, Dems have been rolling over a lot lately. It's a little disheartening.

9. What matters is that we make an impeachment ATTEMPT.
Doesn't matter if he isn't officially impeached. What matters is that we let the world know that we THINK he should be impeached, and the only way to make that statement is to bring up an impeachment charge. Bringing up a charge is perfectly legal and we don't need any majority to do so. So it doesnt get far. Big deal, but bringing up a charge will do justifiable damage.

12. I think if the Dems win the House and the Senate
or even one or the other, then a lot of them would suddenly grow some balls. They'd have a lot more support then they do now.
