Cindy Sheehan and Changing One's mind on the War

A lot has been made of a quote by Ms. Sheehan that would seem to indicate support for the Iraq War a year ago. The quote was, as it turns out, taken out of context.

That said, how critical would it be if she had changed her mind? Or, to put it another way, would it change your opinion of a person if you found out they had supported the war, but now opposed it?

In the interest of full disclosure, I tenatively supported the war initially (not for the best of reasons, mostly I thought it was inevitable, but could be a war of liberation instead of what it has become).
