Air Force officer allegedly vandalized cars with pro-Bush bumper stickers

DENVER - Denver police say a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force has admitted to vandalizing cars bearing pro-President Bush bumper stickers at Denver International Airport.

Police say he's responsible for thousands of dollars in damage on at least 12 cars. Lt. Colonel Alexis Fecteau, 42, of Colorado Springs, turned himself in to Denver police Friday.

He is director of reserve operations at the National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs, in charge of more than 40 full-time and traditional reservists.

In the arrest affidavit, Denver police say Fecteau admitted to damaging several cars after police conducted a sting-operation to catch the anti-Bush vandal.

1. He's a Lt. Col. in the Air Force, for crap-sake. He should be punished.

Not that I have a problem with the sentiment- but vandalism is vandalism...you just don't mess with someone else's property... It's especially disturbing coming from a military officer.

is driven to do something that extreme indicates that there must some real serious resentment brewing within the ranks. For every one who feels strongly enough to go that far, there must hundreds--maybe even thousands--who are silently cheering him on.

stickers, or painting "F--- Clinton" the DPD wouldn't give a flying rats ass let alone mount a sting operation.

Personal note to Mr Kinney. I am a veteran and I feel violated every day bush is president.

I totally condemn the actions of the LCOL but conservatives who support bush should look in the mirror and if they had any balls would ask themselves are we to blame for political discourse in America today as we blindly accept lie after lie after lie and do with a chip on our shoulder.

As I rant, My radar is up and have to wonder if the LCOL is a dobson plant to take some of the attention away from the religious zealots at the AF Academy and their "keying" and defaming of the constitution.
