Gas prices are now almost DOUBLE from what they were then.

2. He's gonna talk with the Saudis and get them to open up the spigots.
The 50 million idiots who voted for this POS should have known that there was something wrong back in 2000. To have learned nothing between 2000 and 2004 is a sign there is something in the water.

3. It's ironic.
Back in 2000, the media harped on the gas prices then, after they had been so low the two preceeding years. Clinton took a lot of heat for it from the media and Bush. Now, the gas prices are so freaking high and yet nobody utters a peep, especially Shrub.

4. Yet he freely admits that his 'energy bill'
does nothing to bring down prices or lessen energy dependancy, only makes his oil buddies richer. So called 'energy experts' with nose inserted up shrub's ass then claim "It's a start", or "If Clinton had done this 10 years ago, blah, blah...."

Incidentally, when I graduated HS in 1989, it was around 75-80 cents.

9. Exactly. DOUBLE. I mention that all the time
whenever I am discussing politics with people. Gas prices have doubled in five years, since Bush has been in office.
