Chicago Sun Times: American's Join Mom in Awaiting Iraq Answers
Carol Marin
Americans join mom in waiting for Iraq answers
August 10, 2005

I keep thinking about that mother who is camped out somewhere near the end of President Bush's driveway in Crawford, Texas. Her name is Cindy Sheehan, and her 24-year-old son, Casey, is dead. He was a soldier, killed last year in the Iraq war.

<snip>

Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld and all the rest of them who took us to this war by catering to our worst fears and filling us with false information continue to this day to defend the indefensible.

As the financial cost of this war approaches $200 billion and as we are fast moving toward our 2,000th casualty, something has to change.

Cindy Sheehan, waiting down at the end of the president's driveway in Texas, is right about this war.

If they arrest her, there will be hell to pay. The media will have a field day.

4. you sure about that? They're still taking orders from the Pentagon.
There's already a media blackout on this. Why will it be lifted for an arrest (or even assassination)?

5. Yes. Remember:
"If it bleeds, it leads."

The MSM would cover it, you know they couldn't resist such a story.

6. I'm not convinced. They'll follow blackout orders for anything.
Probably because if they don't follow such orders they'll end up dead (fired first, of course).

8. they know they will be scooped by the bloggers again
and it will be an embarrassment. They also know they will catch a whole boat load of shit from us if they snub us. It is not as profitable to be bush's butt buddy anymore.

Look, the reporters there are dying for a story.

The weather has been bad down there, flooding and such. Hair cut journalist do not work in the rain.

3. According to the shrinking number of bush supporters, that
article is pure treason. However, I think it's pure reason.
