I received this e-mail this morning from Randi Rhodes.....
MESSAGE FROM RANDI

Hundreds of Randi & listener pics
in the RR PHOTO GALLERY

First, my heart-felt gratitude goes out to each and every one of you who were able to travel to Crawford, TX to support Cindy Sheehan.
This woman, who gave her son to Bush's war, is now in the GOP Smear Machine's crosshairs simply because she'd like to ask King George for what noble cause did her son die.

ANYONE who disagrees with this administration, or worse, is equipped with truth and is attracting an audience, ends-up on Bush's Enemy List.

Heroes and dedicated public servants such as Scott Ritter, Richard Clarke, David Kay, Hans Blix, Maj. Paul Hackett, Sen. Max Cleland, Gen. Eric Shinseki, Sec. Paul O'Neill, Amb. Joe Wilson and his wife Valerie Plame, Sen. John McCain, and the list goes on and on.

The TRUTH, once romanticized for "setting you free," is now nothing but a one-way ticket to the Bush/Cheney/Rove meat grinder. Even if your only crime against your country is wanting to know why your son is now dead...

So why does The Republican Machine eat their young? Well, my guess is if they had an answer they could be proud to tell us, they would.

But they don't.

Thanks for listening.

Love ALLways,

Randi Rhodes

2. Very cool.
It's too bad that Randi rubs some DU posters the wrong way. Personally I'm able to look past the drama and focus on the information at hand.

She is awesome with facts.

The man with her in the picture is Bill Mitchell who
lost HIS son Michael Mitchell in 2004 as well.

What about HIS pain?

9. Chill.
You are correct about us acknowledging this also.

Me thinks your post was inciting drama. I'll leave it at that.

7. They should already be ashamed of picking up the pom-pons
and cheerleading the sheeple into this fiasco.

Fucking corporate whores.

Also at the Randi Rhodes website they have posted the recent Maureen Dowd article "Why No Tea and Sympathy?"

http://www.therandirhodesshow.com/live/node/583

(excerpt) "It's amazing that the White House does not have the elementary shrewdness to have Mr. Bush simply walk down the driveway and hear the woman out, or invite her in for a cup of tea. But W., who has spent nearly 20 percent of his presidency at his ranch, is burrowed into his five-week vacation and two-hour daily workouts. He may be in great shape, but Iraq sure isn't."
