1. Well, in all fairness, chaplains are all officers with divinity degrees.

It's a prerequisite that you already be an ordained minister or priest or rabbi or imam or whatever before you can become a chaplain.

So, it's not surprising that he was assigned a mechanic MOS in light of this fact.

2. But they TOLD him he could be one. LIED to him about the process

and requirements.

They could have just said, "Hey son, get your degree and look us up in a couple of years. We can use more people to counsel our soldiers in these trying times." But no.. they didn't They just swept him up, another warm body to fill a pair of combat boots.. and shortly after that, a cold body in a coffin.

That's what really chaps my backside. All the lying.
