Oil compaines make record profits |
|
Just heard on the news, the oil compaines profits have raised by 30-60% and as im writing this, Im hearing Bush on tv saying he grieves for all the deaths, well Im sure those oil compaines loved thier tax breaks.

Oil companies are taking money away from the retailers. If you're spending it at the pump, you're not spending it in the stores.
Factor in a job loss rate that is much greater than job gain so less money for retailers from that direction also and what kind of economy do you get?

hasn't the price just steadily risen (leapt?) during that whole time?
as they are squeezing the last drops out of production, they are gouging every dollar that they can from us.
