I want his income.
Question to mall shopper: How high will gas have to go before it makes you cut back on driving?

Answer: About $5 a gallon...maybe.

3. They weren't saying that when Clinton was in office
a seven or eight cent gas hike spurred them into a frenzy.

5. It's worse here because of the distances.

During the '80s I spent 6 years driving 75 miles to work and return each day. How many folk in Britain have to do that? When I lived in Germany, I could bike to work or, while working in Berlin, take the tube. I've been able to bike to work or take public trans a total of 2 years out of the 30 I've lived and worked in the US.

It's a different environment here, as everyone's soon going to learn to our great cost.
