Gas tops US$6.38/gal in Norway. Apparently locals are out of arms and legs

Record high gasoline prices

Statoil, Shell and Esso have now raised their recommended gasoline prices to around NOK 11.30 per liter (USD 6.68 per gallon).

Soaring oil prices are now hitting Norwegian motorists at the gas pump, and things could easily get worse.

"We are at NOK 11.32 per liter. This is an all time high for Shell in Norway," Shell information chief Jacob Olsbø told newspaper Finansavisen. Statoil raised its liter price on gasoline to NOK 11.28 in July and Esso followed suit this Monday, pricing its Leadfree 95 at NOK 11.33 per liter.

One comfort for Norwegian motorists is that a relatively weak dollar has kept gas prices from rising even more. Several Norwegian stations are helping keep local customers a bit happier by having price wars, with prices there still under NOK 10 per liter (USD 5.90 per gallon).

1. It will be our turn soon enough.
Can't find regular below $2.539 anywhere in Vegas now, and most places are $2.559. Premium will top $3.00 this year, I think.

4. And the bush oil-men "good 'ol boy" network laughs.........
all the way to the bank. They're not content with Wall Street scams, an attempted seizure of Social Security funds and tax cuts for the rich to complete their redistribution of wealth program. They're pulling out all the stops, there's only 2 1/2 years of this unabated "legal" thievery left, 'ya know?
Then the bleeding heart American people will probably elect a damn Democrat hell bent of giving the government and their money back to the people, (DAMN those Democrats!) so The Oil Men have to steal every penny they can get their hands on now before the party is over. It's "hard work", but W's the man that can do it for them.
There is no shortage of oil. There's as much right now as there was at this time last year. But the traders are "scared" and "nervous" that there MIGHT be a dip in production. :wtf: MIGHT BE? Many people are getting filthy rich on a bunch of "might be's" right now. Bush used to rail at the media for "talking the economy down", it's been SO GOOD, you know? :eyes: But he's silent as a clam when his Oil Buddies talk the price of oil up to new records every day. Too bad if a few thousand people have to lose loved ones for their oil grab. It's a small price to pay for the untold riches going into Republican coffers.
GOD, I HATE THESE PEOPLE. :grr: I was never one to "hate" until these assholes came along. That's a lesson I could have done without. Hating is not a healthy and admirable trait, but there is no other emotion that will assuage my feelings right now. I positively hate them with every fiber of my being.

6. well someone else smells another enron.
there is no reason for the run up in gasoline prices other than they are making billions off of fear.
