today apparently, bush's motorcade has to pass by cindy sheehan and her small crowd of anti war protesters on his way to a republican war pig fundraising bbq.

the t.v. lady said they'll have to come face to face even though in an awkward way, or some such shit.

now how bad does this look? but then, they don't think about such things as decorum or decency or compassion, only money and war and power, fuck the soldiers AND their grieving mothers, we have funds to raise.

That's the difference between him and Nixon. Nixon wasn't really a psychopath, he was a neurotic. He was extremely self-conscious and was obsessed with what other people thought of him. He wanted the American people to love him. So, he met with protestors at the Lincoln Memorial, for example.

Besides, from Bush's point of view, it would look even worse for him to actually meet with an ordinary American and then not be able to explain himself/hold his own (and with him, there's a good chance he wouldn't).
