Unintelligent design.
So I hear a lot of talk from the wingnuts about "intelligent design" and I keep having to wonder - is this design particularly intelligent? Couldn't He have done a little better? Tried a bit harder? I mean, we humans can't even see infrared. That's such BULLSHIT. We can't fly, we make farty noises when we get old, and, well... you have to take into account the existence of people like Don Johnson. All of this leads me to believe that perhaps our creator was not so "with it." I am increasingly convinced that what we have here is Unintelligent Design, or what I like to call "C-student design." It's quite obvious that whoever designed this universe could have done a much better job of it had He not been spending all of his time playing video games and beating up wimpy 5th grade deities. All of the other creators were at least paying attention in class, and look how great their universes are! But nooooo! We have to get stuck with Mr. Freetime, who'd rather skip the lesson where they taught about how to make people that could shoot lasers from their eyeballs.

What a crock!

1. haha, nice
"you have to take into account the existence of people like Don Johnson" lmfao ... I couldn't have said it better myself!

I think the problem is that it's the C-students that came up with this absolutely ridiculous idea... and it's the C-students who keep promoting it. I really can't help but wonder what goes thru these people's heads when they sit down and actually believe this is where "we" came from.

It would make me laugh if it wasn't the pResident of our country that was THAT DUMB!

2. LOL -- C student design! 5th grade deities!
God -- the W of deities.

To those who believe that humans are the pinnacle of God's creation I say God should go back to the drawing board.

4. Isn't it amazing that both sides are pointing at Bush as their prime
example of their view on the validity of ID?

We use him as an example of how ID is a joke . . .

6. Thanks to everyone for the responses.
It's very clear to me that our particular Creator isn't all he's cracked up to be. I mean, it's obvious that He lost interest in His creation very rapidly. Back in the Old Testament days, he'd go around miracling this and turning that into stone or salt or fire. Then he went AWOL for thousands of years before eventually sending his son out to do some of the yard work. Indeed, we have a lazy, middle-aged, beer-swilling couch potato of a Creator.

9. But humans are much too intricate to have evolved via random mutation....
THerefore, I am adhereing to the theory that an all-powerful, all-seing, all-knowing non-human being created everything, including ideas and deadly illnesses, fated them to an infinite future with a grand lesson, about 5000ish years ago in the span of about a week.

That is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more plausible.
