THE COWARD WOULDN'T EVEN DRIVE PAST HER!!!!
The chickenhawk coward took his chopper because he's too cowardly to even drive past a grieving mother!

47. From the Article:
Edited on Fri Aug-12-05 12:44 PM by Pirate Smile
"Cal Jillson, a political scientist at Southern Methodist University in Dallas who has studied Mr. Bush's rise, said: "For him, meeting this woman face to face would be blinking. His whole game is to be confident and to appear never to doubt and never to waiver. It's this idea of determination."

And unlike government leaders in a parliamentary system who are challenged directly by their political opponents, Mr. Bush can easily shelter himself from such confrontations.

"He would not trust himself in a face-to-face meeting and neither would his staff. These guys like control," said Prof. Jillson, who added that Ms. Sheehan's protest in itself may not be that significant but it comes at a time when many Americans are reconsidering their views of the Iraq war.

Approval of Mr. Bush's handling of the conflict has dropped to as little as 34 per cent of people surveyed, according to a recent poll conducted for Newsweek magazine.

But only 33 per cent of Americans say the solution is withdrawing all troops, according "

3. The chickenhawk is a big, fat LIAR too
Actually had the nerve to say this:

Mr. Bush said he grieves for every death in Iraq. "It breaks my heart to think about a family weeping over the loss of a loved one. I understand the anguish that some feel about the death that takes place."

49. Oh Please!
Lying POS doesn't give it a second thought. He's only talking about it now because he has a mother of a fallen soldier camped out on his front porch, and I bet he is, in private, pissed about even having to comment on the deaths that he has CAUSED. Breaks his heart! :eyes: And he understand the anguish that some? feel about the death that takes place? Could he be anymore uncaring, unfeeling and completely detached from the horrific mess he has deliberately caused and the tens of thousands of lives he has taken? That statement proves once and for all that "the death that takes place" means nothing to him, and affects him, not one bit. I can believe Cindy Sheehan when she said his eyes were vacant, void of sympathy. He is disgusting, not fit to be a member of the human race.

...becuase he was too scared to ride by in his SUV?

How many more extra chopper rides will we pay for due to this reason till the end of his vacation?

Put him in his flight suity-pants, maybe the testosterone will go to his pointy little head and he'll forget himself and finally strut/waddle over to her.

21. Apologies in advance if this is too crude but...
I saw the headline about him saying 'I sympathize but I can't pull out' or something like that and the first thing that popped into my head would be an editorial cartoon with Bush and a bent over Statue of Liberty. The words 'Iraq War' would be written on his member.

Probably came to mind due to that old slogan I saw for 2004 'Bush/Cheney: why pull out in the middle of a good screw?'

Of course I'm no artist, so I wouldn't try to draw the cartoon

28. You know what's really good about this?
For all the "freedom" he's trying to spread around the world, he really doesn't enjoy any himself. Can you imagine not being able to get in your car and just drive wherever you want to go? He's made so many enemies he'll never be really "safe" out in public any time soon. In a way it's kind of like his own little prison. How awful would it be to not be able to go anywhere without hours of logistical planning ahead of time? He has a lot in common with poor Martha Stewart. His own little "house arrest"!

You're right, and I've thought about that too. He is probably the most hated man, with the most publicized face, in the entire world, and he is not safe anywhere he goes. Maybe he visits Crawford so often because he feels safer there (although not now with big, bad Cindy lurking nearby). He can't even go for a ride on his tricycle without a horde of Secret Service people all around him.
