There's no way for Bush to win in the Cindy Sheehan thing |
|
On the one hand, you have a grieving mother who just wants to talk with the president. On the other hand, you have a man who is now widely regarded as dishonest in general and a liar when it comes to this war who seems deathly afraid of actually talking with her. If Bush meets with Cindy, he looks like he's caved and he risks making himself look worse with his poor verbal skills. If Bush doesn't meet with Cindy, he looks like a hypocritical coward.
No wonder the Freepers are so upset. If this were a Dem president, I'd be wailing and gnashing my teeth, too.

in one way and one way only.
IF WE LET CINDY BE FORGOTTEN Dubya will win.
She cannot fall of the front pages of the newspapers or off of the electronic news......
She cannot be left ALONE in Texas.
The PROTEST must become a MOVEMENT.

I am just wondering how come none of the good catholic priest that are against the war have flocked to cindy's side. It seems to me that any crawford catholic who backs the president including priest should be denied communion.

difference between us and those freepers.. if it was one of our own who acted as Bush has done, we'd be standing outside his or her house with our own set of personalized pitchforks.
Why they continue to defend him and refuse to see the truth is beyond my comprehension.

12. I got so angry I e-mailed Michelle Malkin |
|
I'll let you know if I get a response.
Dear Ms. Malkin, It is interesting to see how guests react to their appearances on the O’Reilly Factor. I have given up watching closely because I don’t find the dialogue either intelligent or informative, but now and then a story will catch my eye. Mr. O’Reilly is an egomaniac with a paranoid streak and can’t stand it when someone questions the “fair and balanced” image he has created for himself. Oddly, most of his guests are like you, willing puppets who step right into the role of posse to whatever lynching Bill decides on that day. A few basics about human nature: people come to conclusions over time; all people, without exception, are inconsistent now and then; and grief-stricken parents need time and compassion while they sort out their feelings—let’s hope you never get to find out what that’s like first hand. I am not sure why you and Mr. O’Reilly are so invested in cherry-picking Mrs. Sheehan’s statements to make her look like a liar while giving the president and his crew a pass on their mountain of anti-democratic secrecy, lies and subterfuge. That’s where the real story is. That’s where the press has abandoned all semblance of being an independent fourth estate. I don’t know how or why the mainstream media got co-opted into hoodwinking the people of the United States, but congratulations, you have succeeded. It is common citizens like Cindy Sheehan, with neither national platforms nor fancy journalism degrees, who are keeping alive the American ideal of truth in government and freedom of speech. Sincerely,
Dallas, TX

Another good point that needs to be hammered home is how this prezinet & his media gunslingers have caused division not only in this country, but within families, which is particularly shameful, considering the presinet's loyalty was built upon his & his media's lies.
This is the point that I'd like Mrs. Sheehan to make whenever she's faced with having to answer to her in-laws' recent slur.
