ACTION ALERT: Mary Ann MacCombie (Goldstar Mom) would like our assistance

Mary Ann, the mother of a fallen soldier, is on her way to Crawford to stand with Cindy. Here is an earlier thread about her story as it appeared in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

I wanted to assist her so I emailed the reporter who forwarded my email to Mary Ann. I have never set up a PayPal account for charity so anyone who wants to help me try to help Mary Ann please check in. Even if we round up a few hundred bucks to cover her airfare I think that would be great.

Doing this is a general donation. If we want to help out Mary Ann directly we can set up anothe PayPal account or we can send checks to the Peace House with a clear indication on the memo line that we want the money to go to Mary Ann's airfare.

I am already finding out there are and will continue to be many "hidden costs" to speaking out, taking an active stand, not the least of which is that T-Mobile will be somewhat enriched. 18. Another kick for mothers, maybe there are more that need to get

out there. I have donated to the general fund at the peace house pay pal site. I am sure if they get wind of any mother of a fallen soldier that wants to join them, they will help! Just send money, this is our best chance to make a difference folks.

Just saw that beautiful young man's pictures. What heartbreak! About others needing support, may be Randi Rhodes would set something up, or confirm that the Crawford Peace Group could handle all the pay pal donations for this and everything else. The peace house is small, has a leaky roof and must be hot too. Not sure how many people there are organized to do all we ask as a base? Trying to be practical here, not critical.
