What happened to the C-Span Bus and all Brian Lambs great STUFF

What I used to love about C-Span in the 90's was their HISTORY LESSONS.

Brian seemed to be trying to EDUCATE all America in a Condensed Time Frame.

Now...Brian sort of seems like a M$M whore...What Happened? Funding Cuts? C-Span was Mandated by Congress to be funded by our CABLE $$$'s...

So...they cut him off or was he as many DU'ers seem to think a "PsyOps" from the beginning?

I really don't know the truth of it...but he's been very strange with his "Right Wing Firdays" and the lack of all the "goodie stuff" C-Span used to have in the 90's.

Does anyone else remember watching C-Span when it was trying to teach us about American History? Anyone? :shrug:

1. I wonder if brian lamb

gets any letters about how he acts on rw Fridays? And does he treat them like he treats the callers who suggest he is less than above board?

I didn't start watching c-span until later and then it was Washington Journal so I could feel rapport with every other caller(when they would alternate fairly).

4. I know...Washington Journal has gone down hill....

But, they seem to allow every RW illiterate to call in...and Brian's "freaky RW Fridays are OTT." I don't know what happened to C-Span....maybe it was funding or Brian got disillusioned with his whole effort...the C-Span School Bus and Educating "clueless Americans" about Democracy with his "Booknotes" and segments on Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, etc. that he used to do in the "old days" when Reagan, Poppy and Clinton were Presidents. I watched them for years...but when Chimp took over C-Span and Brian seemed to go downhill. Right wing callers...different call in phone numbers for "Supporters of the President" or others...etc.

I don't know what happened. I watch it for the House and Senate Votes and Discussions..and occasionaly on weekends if they have something of interest for Dems...

They have had some ground breaking Dem Discussions and those who have written books critical of Bush...but it's not the same as it used to be, that's why I posted. I don't know what's up with them...but Brian and his mission for C-Span seems to have changed. :shrug:

2. The corporate lobby has purchased everyone

from the politicians to the preachers to the media. They even influence and control what's taught in many of our business schools. They virtually own the regulatory agencies in Washington. We are doomed. Everyone has a price. I'm sure they met Brian Lamb's.

3. I think C-SPAN is now Grover Norquist central

It's all RW all the time. A coupe d'etat has taken place.

I pray GN gets an incurable disease of the anus. He deserves it.

5. I hope Norquist gets caught up in the Abramoff Scandals...if not that

there's plenty of other skullduggery/thuggery he should be in jail for ...he's a POS for sure.
