A caller on Randi made xcellent point about RW v Cindy!
He said

What kind of message is the right wing attack machine sending to our troops that are over there fighting for their lives?

Are they saying to the troops - this is how we are going to treat your mother if it happened to you?

:patriot: :patriot:

This guy hit the nail on the head! Stupid idiot repugs!

3. Are you kidding?
Cindy isn't the first parent to protest. Don't you remember the father who was fired after he made a fuss when his son died? I thought it was sad that his son died thinking that he was fighting to protect a right which his father, apparently, didn't have.

the moral high ground. Oh, it was yesterday. I'll do a search and try to find the info in the search engines.

8. Help me here - I'm going to email this point to O'lielly & Hannity but
I don't want to READ their posts on Cindy.

Does anyone know what exactly they said about her?
Am I right in thinking that loofah man called her a traitor???

Maybe this will give them something to think about, that is, if there is anything between their ears besides a tape recorder!

12. Just consider the evidence to date that the troops have
1. No WMD in Iraq. Bush lied.

2. No welcome with flowers as liberators but with IEDs as occupiers.

3. Bush as CIC tells insurgents to "bring it on" to the troops and then flies home to safety, regardless of the danger that comment put the troops themselves in.

4. When challenged by one of the troops in Iraq about why they have to scavenge garbage dumps to armor their vehicles, Donald Rumsfeld tells him that "you don't go to war with the army you want; you go with the army you have." And this comment comes on the heels of scandals about price gouging by Halliburton and other US contractors in Iraq, as well as the Iraq provisional government's inability to account for millions of dollars allocated to it.

5. Enlisted people taking the fall for abuses of Iraqis such as those that occurred at Abu Ghraib, while strong evidence exists that they acted under orders from high-ranking officers.

6. Changing the rules of the troops' enlistment contracts to ensure their endless rotation into dangerous positions, as well as abuse of ready-reserve rules that recall people who thought their hitches ended years ago.

7. Undercounts of casualties and fatalities to make the situation in Iraq appear more positive than it is. This is also used to restrict medical and other benefits such as priority treatment at VA hospitals upon return to the States.

In light of all this, and so much more that I haven't included here, the troops already know the true nature of the right's regard for them. It should not surprise them that their mothers and the rest of their families would be subject to similar abuse if they objected to the party line in any way.

31. The sentiment in your last paragraph is what I don't understand.
I wish that I could see more of the troops actually no longer supporting B*. I keep seeing what B* has done to them, and it seems as though their support continues unwaveringly. What I've seen is even from retired soldiers who should be free to speak their true thoughts.

Are they really so brainwashed that they can't see all of this?

34. I have two links for you that should help you sort things out
One is to GI Special: www.militaryproject.org --Troops stationed in Iraq are encouraged to contribute their own impressions of Iraq and the US presence there. Whenever I check it out, and since it's a daily diary there are lots of stories, I'm blown away.

The other is to Operation Truth: www.optruth.org --Another site created by US troops who have served and may still be serving in Iraq.

I think that if you look at these sites, you'll learn that lots of troops aren't buying the Bush administration's propaganda anymore. The silent reception that Bush encountered during his televised address from Fort Bragg is a good indication too. His speech was written to allow for spontaneous bursts of applause and was supposed to go on for 45 minutes; instead it lasted only 28 minutes. Bush is no Lincoln, and he delivered no Gettysburg Address; the audience wasn't in awe of either that night.

18. Dear Recruits
I commend you brave boys and girls who believe what we tell you about St. George of the Holy Neoconernacle and his need for you to step up to the bar of braverious belief in holy propaganda.

Disclaimer - If you die, your mother had better not challenge St. George of the Holy Neoconernacle. If she does we will have to sacrifice her on the altar of blasphemy where she'll be escorted to her deserved punishment by the virginal St. Malkin and St. Coulter who will make certain the viral heresy of her mother-love does not infect anyone else.

Your friend in the blowhardiness of stampede,

19. Besides, isn't "freedom" something the troops are fighting for?
I guess that doesn't include "freedom of speech". The freedom of a mother to publicly question actions of the government that killed her son and so many other children, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, moms, uncles, grandparents and grandchildren of many nationalities.

Go Cindy! You are a true :patriot:

We want to know why your son died too.

What kind of message are you sending to our troops that are on the ground in Iraq and Afganistan, when you call the mother of a fallen soldier "treasonous" and an "ignorant cow"?

Not only are our soldiers fighting for freedom, they are also fighting for their lives.

Think about that Bill the next time you slam Cindy Sheehan. Our soldiers may be listening to you, and thinking about how you would treat their own mothers if something happened to them.

Support the troops!

29. Yes all military personel should be aware. That the right wing attack
machine will attack your mothers if they try to exercise the 1st ammendment freedom rights they are supposedly serving to defend. What a farce this war crime is. Yes indeed Bu$h Inc. and his minions will attack your mothers people. Wake the hell up please. Or maybe these freeper types think most military personel have a "hate my mother complex" It is sure plain as day that Bu$h Inc. hates Specialist Casey`s mother. There is no doubt about that. And they cannot even respect her right to peaceful protest. Did we liberals ever counter protest when the freepers were protesting Clintons penis? Not that I can remember.
