Look at Jesus Christ being attacked and smeared by the Pharisees and the Sadduccees (let's assume that this actually happened).

Look at Ghandi being attacked by thugs in South Africa and by the British imperialists in India.

Look at Martin Luther King Jr being attacked by the right-wing facists like Hoover and the hate-ridden supremacists.

Look at Nelson Mandela suffering all these years for his fight against apartheid.

Think of any peacemaker who has dared confront the powers to be. Realize that person has been smeared and attacked from many angles.

Just stand steadfast and hold to the truth. No matter how good and noble you are, how good and noble your cause is...you will face vicious attacks because you threaten the dark order of things. You threaten their hold onto power. What you can do is remain true to yourself and what you stand for. Let whatever comes, and remain standing!
