Stuck having to make a Wal-Mart purchase. Need to balance it
Edited on Fri Aug-12-05 11:54 PM by smartvoter
out with a donation to an anti Wal-Mart group. Anyone have an opinion on which is the best?

P.S. To stop in advance those who would say there is always an alternative, there was not one in this case. My family goes to ridiculous lengths to avoid shopping there, but this was a genuine jam.

3. It happens to the best of us. Maybe you should carry some Union literature
whenever you go there. Leave it somewhere a worker might find it.

11. Don't know if this would work
Some stickies with "THIS ITEM IS CHEAPER AT KMART/TARGET/ETC" that you plant on selected items.

5. Ok! I have an idea, it it will help your karma pretty quickly!
Check my signature line. There are links there to send donations for free by clicking on them. You can help feed the hungry, donate for breast cancer, help the homeless, save the rainforests, feed strays. It is fast and does great good!

As to the "Wal-mart" moments, been there, done that, and I feel like I need a shower afterwards.

8. I do all this type of stuff regularly. Looking to specifically undo
Wal-Mart support. I HATED giving them money.

Donate to Gold Star Families or to the Crawford Peace House. Another idea would be to donate to United for Peace (http://www.unitedforpeace.org). They are the ones holding the rally in DC in Sept and need money to do that.

Or buy a Democracy Bond from the DNC (http://www.democrats.org/democracybonds.html)
