The Deception is Evil...
It is rotten to the core. They that would intentionally deceive people into believing their social security system is in a crisis, in order to advance the agenda of the wealthy on Wall Street, are evil. They that would deceive the people into believing that which is not true, by using fear and lies, are evil. A Political Party that uses deception as their main tool of persuasion is evil. People are being used in ways that are disgraceful and harmful to all of us. They are evil, I am convinced.

that which causes harm or destruction or misfortune; "the evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones"- Shakespeare

the quality of being morally wrong in principle or practice; "attempts to explain the origin of evil in the world"

malefic: having or exerting a malignant influence; "malevolent stars"; "a malefic force"

Wickedness, moral depravity, sin; whatever is censurable, painful, malicious, or disastrous; the evil part or element of anything. A wrongdoing, a crime, a sin. The evil people. A disaster, a misfortune. A disease, a sickness -- Oxford Dictionary

4. RW idealogues are motivated by selfish greed and arrogant pride
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 08:03 AM by wishlist
I am convinced that behind the entire RW agenda is overwhelming greed and pride (pride: an undue sense of one's own superiority; inordinate self esteem; arrogance; conceit) both personal and collective that fuels their lust for power both here at home and abroad. But in order to obtain their selfish objectives and disguise the ugliness of their true motivations, they are compelled to use deceipt including cynical false attacks against those who stand in their way.

Evil is not too strong a word to describe those who would deliberately pursue a strategy of lies and deception to smooth a path toward killing and injuring thousands of innocent people in the pursuit of selfish interests and then continue deceiving and making excuses for their actions when their wrongdoing is exposed. (I am not religious but I seem to recall that Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers" and I agree.)
