One word answer, please (yes or no)....Will the Neo-Cons ever give up
the White House? I think they will continue to steal elections and produce "events" to guarantee they hold the presidency. They will get bolder and bolder. They have gone too far to let a moderate in the WH, much less a liberal. The Corporations rule..... (My answer to my question, "No".)

7. No. Never. World domination and fundamentialism is their goal,
Not unless something dramatic happens that shakes things up enough that we can move towards impeachment- which could start with Fitzgerald's investigation. But it can only go so far under the fact that they have control of every branch of government. What's especially disgusting is that NOT ONE REPUBLICAN has the courage or balls to stand up and say what is righ regarding the war, regarding the Plame case and CIA leaks, regarding torture - not one will choose country over party. Not even John McCain whom I used to really respect. This is in spite of the fact that the majority of the country is now not happy with the direction of the country. But as long as the country is voting on corporate owned electronic machines, they will keep rigging elections and we will never shift the balance.

It's a nightmare that keeps on growing.

Any ideas?

12. McCain has been broken - he's pathetic, now...
any other RePuke who dared to choose country over party would be broken as well; savagely, mercilessly attacked with every filthy lie Rove and his retinue could devise. I'm afraid there will be no "what did the president know and when did he know it?" or "have you at long last no shame?" speeches from any of the current crop of RePukes. They'd be destroyed. It's going to be up to us Democrats to bring down the BFEE/NeoCon empire, and we're not going to do it by being ladies and gentlemen and playing by the old rules. (For example, NARAL's pulling their anti-Roberts ads because of misinterpretations; do you think our opponents would do any such thing? Hell, no! "Never explain, never apologize" is their motto.)

:grr:

Indeed, I also post many posts deserving O responses and nobody responds/ Later on, somebody else posts the same thing and they get 20-100 responses.

1. I'm surprised others' do.

2. It's the reason why DUers call me a "lounge lizard".

3. It's the reason why people exiled from DU call me a "lounge lizard", amongst more derogatory comments.

4. I'll explain later.

11. Learned Helplessness Is Ugly And Debilitating. Empower Yourself!
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 09:05 AM by DistressedAmerican
We will certainly never get anything back if we all feel defeated before the fight begins.

Rather than feel helpless, do something about it. Empower yourself!

Sorry that is more than one word...

27. I'm not kidding but I hope I am wrong. If I am, then about 90% of
has been written and read on DU since Bush took office is an utter waste
of time. Either this has been politics as usual or a new NeoCon world order has been birthed. Time will tell. Now Dems under Corporate control don't count.....of course.

The strongest passive action will be when the greatest number of people stop buying and paying taxes. Buying needlessly gives these people billions every day in both taxes and profits!
They won't give up. That would mean that several hundred in the enclave would have to leave for their own safety, taking all they have to another country! They have personal billions at their disposal but are draining the american population through tax and more consumer costs every day. They can only continue as long as the population keep paying. A quick study of the Bolshevik revolution in russia would show what happens to a governing power that exists on the credit of the population to stay in power. They are taking every drop that they can get and even their own poorest are still giving because they are misled by lies and media carrying their lies.
A peaceful total change can only be brought about by the "greatest leaders" that can be honest and humble. If there are none, then this will continue.

The neocons cannot backdown, they have gone to far to allow themselves to lose power.

For if they lose power, they will be indicted, convicted and jailed. They know this and will do ANYTHING to stay in power.

It will take force to remove them.

They don't deserve to be called Republican because that is ONE cover.
They don't deserve to be called conservative because that is another cover that allows them to destroy.
They don't deserve to be called faithful christian because that is the dirtiest cover they are using and destroying.
They deserve to be called criminals! They deserve a quick trial and deported and dispossessed forever. They have stolen most, if not all, that they have and own, from the very nation of people who gave them any trust!
