* tells Israeli television force is on the table when dealing with iran
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3126652,00.html

Asked if that included the use of force, Bush replied: “As I say, all options are on the table. The use of force is the last option for any president and you know, we’ve used force in the recent past to secure our country."

It sounds gloom , but here's how i see it .

So there we go , the hot summer of 2005 draws to a close , disengagement of Gaza turns into reality .A mother takes on the president having truth on her side .A political shift has begun in the empire du jour ...I was flying in from London yesterday and this NATO officer who works at shape next to me , admitted that if faced with the november 2004 question again he would no vote for Bush .Explaining that it was the budgetary insanity and the wretched energy bill ,not a sudden love for liberal life' which made him see the light .'I joked he should be happy liberals aren't a vindictive sort .....i think he smiled ....but then again you can never tell .

Now another autumn is at our doorstep , another dozen or so political battles to be fought .But the lines are becoming clear , it's the story of ages , and here in the 21st we might do it right ,....or so my inherited anglo-saxon belief in happy endings tells me .

in short , Il Buono ,Il brutto E il Cattivo all over again

1. Isn't "use of force" the FIRST option in the Bush Doctrine?

2. Yes, indeed. In fact, it's the only option in the cowboy's playbook.

3. yes it is
the worse part is that the iranians are playing right into bush`s hand.the us policies to undermine the religious gangsters in iran has failed miserably so they now are going to use force. we will load up the bombers and the cruise missles and pound the shit out of a few targets in iran then we will reap the whirlwind.

4. Whirlwind is right. Iran will not sit peacefully by and let themselves be
bombed into the stoneage.

And an unprovoked attack on another Middle Eastern country will stir up a storm unlike we've Never seen (and that's taking into consideration how bad things are now in Iraq).

6. Ritter says that if we bomb Iran
WWIII will be unleashed before dawn of the following day. Iraq was poor, defenseless, and disorganized. Iran will fight back from within and from countless sympathetic locations around the globe.

7. Fromthewilderness.com has an aritcle about how * can't invade Iran.
The best part is for subscribers, but I can recap here. Basically he says with the current situation with Peak Oil, the entire rest of the world will not tolerate an invasion of Iran. They will be so mad, that the possibility of a nuclear attack by the entire rest of the world on the USA is a possibility. That would do 2 things - stop the invasions of the ME and free up 30% of the worlds oil supplies because we use so much. Everyone is thinking * is not that stupid. I am really scared about it though. If his thinking is the Second Coming will be produced by his policies and that Jesus will refresh the earth, then to him it woulnd't matter.

"Here are the world's ten-largest exporters in million of tons per year (Source: IEA):

Saudi Arabia 353
Russia 137
Norway 137
Venezuela 123
Iran 102
Nigeria 98
UAE 96
Mexico 91
UK 85
Iraq 75
Does anyone believe that any loss of Iranian oil will be tolerated anywhere? Madsen was quite correct when he said that a US invasion of Iran (or even an air attack) would lead almost instantly to strategic nuclear war. In my opinion, everyone that had the delivery systems to do it (maybe even France and Britain) would send everything they had at us – that’s right us – within days if we persisted with such lunacy. Hell, they might even do it preemptively. That, of course, is something the US gave itself the right to do anywhere in the world just after 9/11. Tit-for-tat! It’s only fair Dick."

8. There he goes, lying AGAIN!
"we've used force in the recent past to SECURE OUR COUNTRY." bushco** used force to secure Iraqi oil, and he DAMN WELL KNOWS IT! And "The use of force" may have been "the last option" for past presidents, but not for Commander Cuckoo Bananas!
